The dust devil formed right at home plate, and a 7-year-old child, identified as Zoya, was wrapped up in it.

The umpire, 17-year-old Aidan Wiles, came to the child’s rescue and was able to pull him out and shield him.

Great footage at the link. My son, several years older than this kid, jumped into and danced along with a dust devil that was moving slowly down our driveway. As seen in the vid at the link, they're persistent little whirlwinds.
