@AOC to @tedcruz: "...you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out."
@AOC when asked about her exact quote: "Yeah, so that's not the quote and I will not apologize for what I said."

Exact quote to Ted Cruz:
@AOC Jan 28

I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there's common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out.
Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that arent trying to get me killed.
In the meantime if you want to help, you can resign.

What Happened to Officer Brian Sicknick?
Julie Kelly, American Greatness, Feb 8, 2021

No one should discount the idea that Democrats and the news media would intentionally promote a totally fabricated story to destroy Donald Trump and vilify his supporters.

The widely-accepted circumstances surrounding Sicknick’s death are part of the Democrats’ impeachment crusade against Donald Trump. “The insurrectionists killed a Capitol Police officer by striking him in the head with a fire extinguisher,” House impeachment managers allege in a memorandum detailing their evidence.

But that inflammatory accusation isn’t backed by an autopsy report or any hard evidence such as a video clip. It isn’t backed by charging documents filed against anyone suspected of killing Sicknick; nearly five weeks later, no one has been accused of murdering the officer even though federal law enforcement officials have arrested more than 200 people tied to their involvement in the January 6 melee.

FLASHBACK: Kamala Harris Joked About Killing Trump, Pence, and Jeff Sessions
Matt Margolis, PJ Media, Feb 8, 2021

Kamala Harris made a joke of killing the president of the United States, the vice president of the United States, and the attorney general of the United States. She laughed. She thought it was funny. Ellen DeGeneres also laughed, as did the audience. Kamala’s joke normalized and trivialized political violence. But Donald Trump, who told his supporters to march peacefully to the Capitol, was impeached for “inciting violence.”

"These people are so predictable…"

I haven't seen, or looked for, any "reporting" on the Jan. 6 events, but the letter from the former chief of the Capitol Police to the congressional "leadership" (heh) would seem to provide pretty much all one needs.

First "protesters" arrived in Capitol area 20 minutes before Trump's speech ended, and an hour before anyone at the rally listening to it could have arrived.

According to the former police chief, they were curiously unlike anything seen at the hundreds of Trump events involving millions of people since 2016 - knee-pads, helmets, black back-packs, "weapons", climbing gear. And they immediately started trouble.

Yep, "Trump supporters", fer sure.

US-led Coalition Convoy Enters NE Syria: Monitor
BasNews, Feb 7, 2021

ERBIL - A convoy of the US-led Coalition forces on Saturday entered Syria and headed to its bases in northeast of the country, a monitor revealed.

Citing its local activists, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that nearly 50 military vehicles and trucks carrying military and logistical equipment, entered Syria through the border crossing of al-Walid.

The convoy was relocated from the Kurdistan Region, SOHR noted, adding that it "headed to the bases of the International Coalition in the countryside of Hasakah."

According to the Britain-based monitoring group, "this is the ninth Coalition convoy to enter Syria since the beginning of 2021."

GOP Wins Last Remaining House Race As Dem Finally Concedes
Collin Anderson, Free Beacon, Feb 8, 2021

Republicans flipped 15 House seats in 2020

New York Democratic congressman Anthony Brindisi conceded his razor-tight contest against Republican Claudia Tenney, handing the last remaining House race of the 2020 cycle to the GOP.

Brindisi announced his concession on Monday, writing that he "congratulated Claudia Tenney and offered to make the transition process as smooth as possible." The two candidates were embroiled in a contentious, months-long tabulation process. Tenney ultimately defeated Brindisi by just 109 votes.

Destroying Democracy in Order to Save It
Sally Zelikovsky, American Thinker, Feb 9, 2021

Through extensive interviews and access to documents, Ball lays out in earnest the game plan with absolutely no awareness that this nonadmission of wrongdoing is actually an admission that bolsters what the President has been saying all along (and is vital to his defense against this second impeachment)…

In other words, they recruited a partisan army of poll workers who were backed by partisan “election defenders” to monitor voting and ballot counting. This is how Republicans ended up with poll watchers who were ousted, blocked, and situated light-years away from the count, and piles of ballots -- almost exclusively for Joe Biden -- coming out of the woodworks in the wee hours.…

The Anti-Trump Election Conspiracy Goes Public
Matthew Vadum, Front Page Mag, Feb 9, 2021

A more honest way of putting it would be to say that these activists were part of an effort to use the courts to force states to violate the U.S. Constitution and throw away electoral integrity policies by changing state election procedures without the consent of the state legislature. The “voter-suppression lawsuits,” Ball references, were in reality lawsuits aimed at preventing voter fraud and other electoral improprieties.

Random thought on awakening: Isn't it strange that the action which made Donald Trump famous..."You're fired"...was the one thing he failed to do enough of when he got to the White House.

Horowitz: Missouri county authorizes arrest of feds who violate Second Amendment
Daniel Horowitz, The Blaze, Feb 8, 2021

This is our recourse

On Feb. 3, the Newton County, Missouri, Commission passed a bill that will not only block federal enforcement of unconstitutional gun policies, but criminalize their implantation thereof within the jurisdiction of the county. The "Second Amendment Preservation Act of Newton County Missouri" declares that "all federal acts, laws, orders, rules, and regulations passed by the federal government and specifically any Presidential Administration whether past, present, or future, which infringe on the people's right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution and Article I, Section 23 of the Missouri Constitution shall be invalid in the county."
