…On this day in 1455 the Gutenberg Bible, the first Western book printed with movable type was first published. Many scholars say this is the most valuable book in existence. There are only 21 complete copies left today and 49 partial copies. One notable effect of the printing of this bible was that it eventually made bibles much cheaper which enabled the common man to have his own bible for study and thus lessening the power of the clergy over the population.

Is it too soon to call him "the Broward Coward" and "Sheriff Quick-Withdraw?" …
