…On this day in 1888 Jack the Ripper killed his third and fourth victims, Elizabeth Stride and Catherine Eddowes. He is said to have went on a killed one more before disappearing. They think the Ripper has been identified now. DNA evidence points to a relatively underwhelming Polish madman called Aaron Kosminski, who was committed to a mental asylum at the height of the Ripper hysteria. But not all 'experts' agree.
