Hungry for my Baby Blues

How about a cuppa, sugar, for a starving artist?

This one bounces along except for that one contemplative half-verse.
1.
  G7
I looked into the 'frigerator
  G7
  What did I see?
          C7
There was nothin' in the 'fridge.
     G7
  No eats for me.

  G7
I checked into the freezer
        G7
And I felt a little lost
          C7
There was nothin' in the freezer
          G7
  Fo' po' me to defrost.

  D7
I opened up the cupboard
      Dm7 C7
And it gave me a scare.
     G7
Just like ol' Mother Hubbard my poor pantry was bare.
2.
G7
Hiked down to the garden
  G7
  Peered through the weeds
          C7
There was nothin' growin' up
              G7
Where I had planted my seeds.

D7
Opened up the liquor chest,
  Dm7 C7
  Well what would you think?
          G7
There was only empty bottles. I couldn't even pour a drink.
3. [slower]
              G7
That's when I sat down on the carpet
          C6
Just to think of where I' been.
      Gm7
I had only just sat down
           G7
  When the roof caved in

[resume speed]
      D7
And I know you must have your good reasons my friend,
      Dm7 C7
And there's no one to blame,
              Gm Bb G7
But since you left me sugar cookie, things just ain't been the same.
