Control Your Dog

Hi. For those following my pet reports...

Back from the vet's. Looks like maybe Jack hasn't been eating because of a toothache. Going back for some dentistry on Wednesday, then we'll see if he gets his appetite back. Not sure that's all it is, but hope so. It fit the symptoms better than dying of old age or poisoning. Ol' Jack is a good kitty.

BUT

At the vet's there was a nice little old lady with a nice little old Yorkie or something, that had got outside and been torn up by barbed wire or animal. Out of an exam room comes a man with a large black assault mastiff with the thing on the back that goes up... sorry... so the big dog wants to check out the little dog and the man holding his leash does LETS THE BIG DOG APPROACH. The lady was scooting her little dog under the bench in protection. Alarming and disturbing. Dumbass finally pulled the dog back just as I was thinking I'd have to get my own self involved.

Later, when we're leaving, a woman is coming in with ... a giant white... wolfhound?

Looked more like the Spinone Italiano, which if you'd asked me I would say you order at Olive Garden. Anyway, big, big dog in a harness-leash that she can't control at all. Couldn't get it to come inside. I took our dog (who went to the vet with us) outside to get away from the madness.

I know some pets sometimes freak out to be at the vet's, and maybe both dogs were just scary-looking but sweet as can be, like ours is, but nobody knows your dog, and you never know when a dog might go off for any reason. PEOPLE, CONTROL YOUR D@M& DOG! /rant

Flipping back n forth on the radio between Beck and Herman Cain, the guest hosts are both dwelling on Furgeson, and neither one seems to have all the latest up-to-date information one can get just by reading AoSHQ, much less following newsblogs. Even PJTV News I watched last night talks about "shooting of an unarmed teenager." At least the guest on Beck was aware that in a situation where you're being charged by a 300# jerk who already assaulted you and doesn't seem to mind bullets, that you keep shooting. D'ya think that cop was probably lucky he finally managed to get a clean head shot before he ran out of ammo?

Has the President dumped on us yet?
