I see others saying they've canceled PayPal and let them know why. I will opt out also, and I would tell them why, but I don't think threatening to take my business elsewhere would bother them much, since, in all the years I've had PayPal donation buttons on my website, total transactions remained constant at the initial level.

OTOH, I have sold a couple of coffee mugs and a yoga mat through my CafePress store, although I don't think the customers came to them via my site.

And, of course, I thought, what inebriated Moron is this? (Although Sherry McEvil is the only Tulsa Moronette of whom I'm aware.) But then, I read further....

Officers were called to the 1900 block of South Riverside Drive at about 10:45 p.m. about a man wearing nothing but panty hose...

...and I thought, no, no self-respecting Moron would be wearing pantyhose, no matter how much Valu-Rite was consumed. Stockings, maybe; garter belts, maybe; but pantyhose? No way.

Never a big fan, but I remember the summer that they played "Okie from Muskogee" over and over - got real sick of that joke song. I can take it a little better nowadays. Mixed emotions. Always liked the line about flying Old Glory down at the courthouse.

I always thought Merle was a native Okie, but Wikipedia says he was born in a boxcar in California - from parents who were Okies who fled to Calif after their barn burned in '34.

PayPal Cancels Planned North Carolina Operations Center After Bathroom Law Passed

For a long, long time I've had PayPal donation buttons on my website. [I presume they work, but nobody's proven it, but that's beside the point.]

I know many folks don't care to use PayPal. I'd already been thinking of trying to find a different funding service [that everyone could ignore] for my website. Now, with this latest Social Terrorism of theirs, I am further motivated to replace PayPal.

Any suggestions? anyone? anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

The dentist's hygienist suggested this fluoride toothpaste that you brush and spit but don't rinse at night. Six months after she gave me a tube of the stuff (prescription toothpaste?) I finally started using it.

Just kinda hard to shift habits after a lifetime. Sometimes I have to remember I can rinse in the morning. Just now I forgot not to rinse after brushing. But mostly I'm sticking with it. I like my teeth. Wanna keep 'em as long as I'm around to use 'em.

The upshot is: teeth brushed. Tried to read the thread but too much good stuff and got bogged down around #150. Hope I didn't miss anything too great. And so, to bed.
