Jenner "never said that I endorsed Ted Cruz; I said I liked him."

Mitt Romney didn't endorse but will "vote for" Cruz in Tuesday's Utah primary caucus.

Nikki Haley didn't endorse but "hopes" Cruz wins.

Wow. Hope none of these choke-throated non-endorsements hurts Cruz!

Since we seem to be without art threads these days, as well, here's BlazingCatFur's latest amazing collection of pictures. Pretty as paintings.

Have now read the comments, and the many kudos to Vic's work. Another 2¢ worth of my thoughts.

On my blog-heap (mindfulwebworks.com/blog-heap) I don't have all the hot news, but I link to several news link listsk - at Gates of Vienna, Maggie's Farm, Political Hat, and recently started including MisHum's morning headlines. Vic topped every day, that he posted.

But, as several have noted above, it's Vic's wit as much or more than the news that made it great. No comparison with any other.

It doesn't seem that Vic wore out, either, but that the morning blog posts became unaccommodating. Vic has been griping about this for some time, so his giving up is not unexpected.

The commenters are unanimous in concern about this. The management, not so much. Commenters can appreciate the feeling - like a Republican conservative and the GOPe.

Vic: I will no longer be posting links....

Wow. Bummer.

I appreciate your frustration - a regular early thread with Vic News & Views and time for folks to discuss them and other things got my day off right for a long time, but irregular early threads, and quickly-stomped ones when they do appear is just not the same.

And a manicure machine that works like an electric pencil sharpener. (Yeah, I'd trust that.)

My time and energy are expired.

Good night, good people.

eleven: George Westinghouse was the AC guy.

I've always heard it was Tesla. I'll look it up.

Westinghouse backed Tesla (up to a point) on AC.

Weren't Edison, Gates, and Jobs sort of all re-packagers of others' inventions. Not judging. Just saying.

Edison took what others had done, but made it commercial and marketed the h out of it. So did Gates. You could say the same about Ray "McDonald's" Kroc, for that matter. Success goes not to the first but to the canniest. Or something like that.

Ed Anger: He tried over 2,000 materials to find his first light bulb's filament....

My favorite: hairs from one of his lab guys' red beard.

qdpsteve: Surprised there haven't been any Forrest Gump/Donald Trump spoofs made yet....

Haven't read the 500 comments, don't know where this comment was coming from, so maybe this has been mentioned, but anyway... didja know there's the Clintons doing a Gump sketch in 1995? Really kinda scary.

Howdy, y'all. I'm in for a few. Who's here and what's up tonight?

Chuckle of the morning.

The only thing to like about Trump, really, was how he ticked off all the right people and smashed through the PC barricades.

So, gotta hand it to the guy, once again. I heard that Putin didn't like the commercial with him in it. Heh.

Howdy, y'all. It's a day! Another day without Vic, apparently, but a day. Grateful to God, despite all the pain.

My beverage is drained.
My teeth are brushed.

Time to turn off the Interwebz and head for bed.

Good night, zanies.

Sugar Plum Fairy - Heh. Thanks. If I keep it up for another 20 years, I might produce at least one thing that goes viral! (Not a particularly worthy goal - fame these days is dangerous.)

When I started, most people had no idea what dot-com was. My early graphics were all 16-color (or 16-gray) GIFs, sized for CGA screens and slow modem speeds.

Lots of changes in twenty web-years!

At the heart of this effort lies a bizarrely totalitarian ideology: Student-activists think they have all the answers - everything is settled, and people who dissent are not merely wrong, but actually guilty of something approaching a crime. If they persist in this wrongness, they are perpetuating violence, activists will claim.
-The "University Wants to Ban History" link

Yeah, 'bout that? See: "The Ideological Lens" from... last night's ONT? Previous night's? (Which I only got around to watching this afternoon.)

Howdy, y'all.

Had a long, sorta-average, mostly unproductive day.

But did have Irish Beef Stew. Milady's ancestry made it Irish. Of course, she made French-ish bread to go with it (those long loaves - baggquettessish). And while dishing out the stew, I sang, "Ladle ladle ladle, I use it to serve stew! Ladle ladle ladle, it's just a thing i do...!" Served with wine from California or maybe it was Washington. So, multi-cultural appropriation. American, and proud of it. Oy oui go braugh, eh?

Top o' the' mornin', to all'a y'all! Okay, maybe not the top anymore, but howdy, anyway.

Not only is it that Irish holiday thing today, it's also my website's anniversary. Offering homespun webworks direct to websurfers since 1996 March 17 - 1,150 peculiar posts... and still one of the web's best-kept secrets.

Alexa global ranking: #5,081,200... but that's up from #5,085,067 last night, so, going viral!

An Poc ar Buile: The Dubliners did have Dublin accents, which are difficult for Irish people outside Dublin in general. Still, they're fun.

Irish version of cockney?

Enjoying more Irish tunes from upthread. But fading rapidly. Talk about metal shapers some more - better than a sleeping pill.
