Just got back from.... well, never mind that... to find we're two threads later and still no Ace.
Anyone check the barrel?
It's a bee-yootiful day here in NE Oklahoma. I think it must be June already.
And that artist is a Fink!

Wait... I've been to the dentist, got cleaned & inspected, got home, and it's still this thread.
Not even some landscape art?
Okay, well, at least you haven't been discussing politics while I was gone, right?

Ding! caught up!
Whoop. Time to go to the dentist.
No comments for me this morning! Just this mess.
The more I tried to follow the math discussions, the more I thought about how I have to get to the dentist for a checkup and cleaning in the morning.
So... night!
...having him end the day by writing down three positive things from the day...
1. I can come up with three things.
2. Glad my mom only asked for three.
3. I'm done with this list.

What is this channel stuff y'all are talking about?
Oh, wait, I remember those. Used to have dozens and dozens of them when we had cable TV and satellite. Wow, that was a long, long time ago. Had to catch shows when broadcasters scheduled them and sit through advertisements, or set the VCR up properly.
They still have those, I guess? I think they're where some of those shows on the Internet come from....
Hello, boys and girls! (If you think this greeting does not apply to you, I'm not talking to you.)
Went into the office today and there was a scorpion out in the middle of the floor.
I stomped and stomped and stomped and stomped that little critter, but his tail kept twitching and stinging and twitching and stinging, long after the body was pulp.
I hate scorpions even more than I hate ticks!
So, what have you done to improve the world ecological environment today?

holygoat: "Paper Tiger Beat candidate" is outstanding.
I thought so, too. "Why we read Ace!"™
First time it's been used?
I told the pets I'd get up and feed them just as soon as we get a new thread.
They didn't look happy.
But anyway, that time has come.
ScoggDog: Read on the ONT that willow is hanging it up here until after November. That's a damn shame.
Brother Cavil: I've been toying with it myself. The level of acrimony is so far over the top it's just stupid.
To paraphrase that wise sage, Pogo:
Don't take the blog so serious.
It ain't no-how permanent.
Seamus Muldoon: All because his girlfriend sent him a John Deere letter.
Yow! good'n.
If only I could come up with a massey furgeson of a reply to that one.
Some news is good.
Some news is bad.
Some news is kinda sick.
The news I haz

RIP George Martin.
Sadly, now, Ringo is the only living Beatle.
joncelli: This is about the time in every presidential administration when they think they can cement their legacy by bring Peace in the Middle East (TM). It's the snark hunt of the irrelevant Lame Ducks.
Wait, what? I remember that famous photograph of some Aye-rab and some Israeli shaking hands in front of Jimmy Carter. Hasn't it all been hearts and flowers since then?

The best times lie ahead, some say.
I guess that could be true.
I don't know what the best would be,
But good enough will do.
Sometimes the times are good, and, yes,
Sometimes the times are bad.
I only hope the worst are times
That I've already had.

Mawnin' glawries!
As a youngster, I saw pix of bodies left hanging on the barbed wire at the Berlin wall. People risking all to get out. Was easy to figure out the Reds ran a great big prison.
For all my political meanderings of the subsequent half-century and more, I never forgot that lesson.
and now...
good night, gentlepeoples. Liberty!
An Oklahoma State congresscritter proposed ending Daylight Saving Time in the state.
I was hopeful, but not much.
Then I read that the proposal was to move Oklahoma to DST year-round. Effectively, putting us on Mountain Time.
*bangs head on desk*
It was squelched, anyway.
