Back in for one last thought about not voting.
One vote seems like such a little thing. Buried under primary techniques, conventioneering, vote fraud, and electoral college, what's one little vote.
And the hold-yer-nose problem, because you think the candidate would be bad for America. Totally understandable.
Problem is, bad as opposed to worse. As has been said, not voting is a vote for (concession to) the other side. If you want to let it burn, that's not a problem, but if you want to let it burn, why care about what would be bad for America?
Sorry if that's too much logic late in the thread.
Now, off to lunch fer realz.
L8R, g8rs.
Nood, and I'm heading off to have some lunch.
Y'all take care now, y'hear?
Something back up thread stuck like a splinter in the mind... lessee...
Oh, yes...
D. Trump: ...yes, the carpet matches the drapes....
Considering those drapes, that's a really disturbing image.
Arson Wells: Watch it and give us your impression. After all that's the purpose of these threads right?
Watch it? You mean his press conf last night? I wlll, later. Won't be the first thing I've watched where he seems calm and competent. Was just citing that as one recent example.
As to the purpose of these threads, I thought it was to make bad puns and talk about boobs.
flashoverride: That's occasionally called Bi-polar disorder.
The new PC term for schizo. I'm old school.
Thinking about Trump...
The guy can come off sometimes as so reasonable. I haven't seen his press conf last night but Milady did and she and some on here have said he sounded good.
Then at other times he seems like a lunatic, ranting and frothing and raging and saying the worst things.
Could all just be a cagey, conscious act. Could be schizo. Although his supporters would probably say the former, I can't be sure it's not the latter.
In addition, he seems to be at his best when things are going his way, and at his worst when challenged or otherwise not on top of things. That seems symptomatic of the narcissist, of which we've had going on eight years already.
Please, I'm not trying to stir up a fight. Schitzo and Narciss don't even necessarily disqualify him. Wouldn't seem to make him reliable, though - more like, he could change to anything any time he wants... as he said.
(Ducks under table for cover.)
Guy Mohawk: Its too bad the Libertarian party is full of pot smoking conspiracy theorists instead of people who actual want freedom and liberty.
I voted Libertarian a couple of times, 'way back when the Libertarian Party seemed still to be, you know, libertarian. Thought they were what the GOP was supposed to be.
"I didn't leave the Libertarian Party. The Libertarian Party left me... and left planet earth...."
LizLem: ...So many casualties: Beck, NR, FoxNews, etc. Time will tell if they can bounce back after destroying their credibility so needlessly and utterly.
Bounce back? Please, no. Let them wither away, and new credible sources arise in their places.
Cloyd Freud: I didn't vote.
I'm not sorry.
That's good.
You would've voted wrong, anyway.

...they simply refuse to acknowledge Cruz
Milady wonders if it's because there are so many Western states still to vote in primaries, and they don't want to let it be known Cruz is still in it, as it were.
Supposedly, Cruz's last chance was to sweep the Suthren states because Fundamentalish religiosity.
I wonder if there's not more of a chance because of Western states and Constitutionality. Don't really know. Just pondering.
Vic: I don't remember the Sierra Nevada mountains being that tall. Did he stretch reality just a tad?
They've worn down a bunch since 1872...

Vic: I see we are up to almost 700 now and no fresh thread yet. Where is rdbrewer this morning?
You were one second too late with that.
I can tell the artist ran out of orange paint quickly, but had plenty of black.
Otherwise, it's another case of accumulated soot on the painting. Used to be green pastures at the bottom.

So many people praising Trivial Pursuer's tl;dr, I went back and actually read it.
Nothing new there, but nice summation.
Note also how demands fixes end up with no fix at all, e.g. we got rid of the Obama's pet Boehner, and got... Paul Rhino. Big improvement. ![]()
Lauren: The guy in front of me finished voting and was told to get his sticker.
"Maybe I should grab two and pretend to be a democrat," he said to the democrat election judge.
Heh.
They handed me my "voted" sticker when they handed me my ballot. I said, "But, I haven't voted yet!"
Well, the guy replied, we assume you will...

Again, something back up thread tickling my brain.
Aha...
me: ...delicious banana-chocolate chocolate chip cookies...
scorecard: ...Fax me one and tweet me some coffee...
Fax? What is this, the 19th Century?
(Whew - Another brainworm deleted.)
Something somebody said back there been tickling my mind...
Ah...
troyriser: ...Trump supporters are coming off as personality cultists. It's weird and it's creepy and it's out of step with American history and tradition....
Not counting the history and tradition of eight years of Obama cultists.
There, got that out of my head.
Every time I go to the coffee pot for a refill, I have to pass by a cookie jar filled with delicious banana-chocolate chocolate chip cookies Milady baked last night. Can't... resist..
Bruce w/ a W!: Have to wonder if a Bernie win in a place like OK is really an anti Clinton vote.
That's my thinking. Plus, lots of idiot youth in Norman, Stillwater, and libs in Tulsa & OKC. Also, Indys could vote Dem but not GOP, FWIW.
Morning, Glories!
