Speaking of Artness, BlazingCatFur has very nice landscape photos regularly. It's an amazing planet. Here's last night's collection:

Nice paintin'.

For some reason, it seems I read faster when I go backward through the comments.

Possibly because that way I look first rather than last at who commented, whatever that means?

Possibly because I see replies before quotebacks?

Possibly because counting down I can tell where it will actually end? (begin?)

Possibly just not bothering to try as hard to comprehend?

People talk like Feb 29 is some kind of extra time.

It's a day.

And I'm not ready for it yet!

When I realized the last 50 comments were a blur...

something about hot sauce on Trump's butt...

I figured I should give it up for the night.

Good night, gang.

Personally, I dig a well-turned ankle.

Shoulders are nice.

Necks can be intriguing.

Not that there's anything wrong with boobs and butts.

Mostly, it's how it all hangs together, not how it all hangs separately.

No relation to howzit hangin'.

That sense of irony:

Total Clickbait: How Kylie Jenner Are You?

While trying to highlight that link to copy and paste down here, so I could say, "there's one I'm not clicking!" ... I clicked it. (Reaches for buzzfeed-b-gone.)

So, tried to sneak an ONT in on me when I wasn't looking, eh? Well, it's not that easy, y'hear?

Okay, it is.

Evening, glorious munchkins!

Now to jump to top of page and peruse the content, contentedly.

Speaking of shellfishness, a couple of days ago. I was rooting through the deep freeze for the ice cream, when I discovered a box of... Vegan Prawns.

?? Are Prawns usually meatatarians ??

But truly, they're made from konjac, actually, a/k/a konjaku a/k/a "elephant yam, a staple across SE Asia and very popular Japanese cuisine," combined with "nutrient-rich sea weed."

Hooo-kay. I don't mind eating unusual food. But when they have to shape it to pretend it's something animal, then, umm...

Now I just buy it all...

My mom's mom, former farm gal who did a lot of canning in her day, to her then-newly-married daughter-in-law, my aunt Nonie (both now long deceased, alas):

"Never can anything that you can buy at the grocery store!"

Take that, back-to-the-landers!

Massena: Man, doesn't seem like a lot of book talk in the book thread this week....

Even leaving aside the heat, it's difficult to just drop comments on other (bookish) topics when a Big Subject overwhelms the thread as it did today.

Kind-of calming down now, but the thread is also old.

Not criticizing or complaining - opinions happen - and it's not like I had anything to contribute; just noting... but, glad it's unusual for the book thread.

But we can blame O'Muse anyway. "He started it!"

Well, I'm about done annoying y'all here.

Watched two vids that are an amazing contrast.

Ben Shapiro at that California thing that they had to sneak in and out the back door because of the nazis rioting in front.

Mark Levin at the Conservative Review conference, a roomful of people cheering for Constitutionality and American liberty.

Something Breitbart said about ware or wahr or something....

Y'know?

Signing off 'til morning. We got morning thread again today, but no Vic. Hope he returns tomorrow.

Night, y'all.

Talkin' 'bout bannings...

Only time I've been banned, it was just some random accident blocked the permanent cable IP in town. I learned about online decorum and not insulting the management back in the CompuServe forums, long ago. Also, in that job I almost lost in college...!

Took me a long time to ever dare comment when Ace was around, though. Still don't do it much.

And there's a trick to writing Blazer on here. I can't remember what it is.
