Vic: RINO Rubio cancelled a speech at a conservative review group in SC...

FIVE MINUTES before his scheduled speech, claiming he had a "scheduling conflict." Pathetic worm.

A reporter asked [Mark] Levin, "What do you make of Marco Rubio not being on the schedule?"

"This is a conservative convention. First he said he was coming. Then he didn't come. So the voters can draw their own conclusions from that," he answered....

"...Maybe he had a meeting with the Ripon society or something. Or LULAC [League of United Latin American Citizens], or La Raza.

"It was pretty damn rude of Rubio, quite frankly. It is up to him to do what he wants to do, but ... we had several thousand people to hear what he wanted to say...."

Vic: Hollywood is making another bible based story.

I've been thinking of actually going to see Risen in the theater this weekend. Don't know how it will come out, unChristian, smaltzy, or what, but the trailers are impressive, and the premise is intriguing.

Might not, though. Haven't been in a theater since the first Captain America movie. (Well, the first one this century, not the old serials.) And before that, I can't remember. Didn't even go for 13 Hours.

Also: yay! Vic News & Views Network is back!

Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law does he meditate day and night.

Morning, law meditators of the day!

Well, glad I got here for AOP's terrible story. Now, my nightcap consumed, I've got to go rest up so as to carry on with the war of wits in the morning.

Good night, gracious gregarians and goofy gargoyles.

The existence of God can never be proved by scientific experiment or by the pure reason of logical deduction. God can be realized only in the realms of human experience; nevertheless, the true concept of the reality of God is reasonable to logic, plausible to philosophy, essential to religion, and indispensable to any hope of personality survival.

Also, "...pickup ...fishtails through the ditch between my rig and the stranded cars..." Whew!

Then, "yahoo #2 arrives, ...sliding towards my truck, realizes his mistake, guns the engine, misses my truck..." WHEW #2

You have just enough time to think, wow! Dodged the bullet -twice- ... then, WHAM!

Hate it when that happens.

Greets, geeks.

Just arrived. Can't stay long. Gonna go read content. Probably won't read the important part, the 400+ comments, though.

My tl;dr for today, possibly to bring on a new thread?

D'Trump was amusing, even inspiring when he stuck to criticism of the left and focus on issues like immigration and jobs. He sounded pretty good, for a crazy-haired old white guy. I could vote for him.

Now that he has moved to threatening lawsuits on Cruz birtherism and his other crazy and foul talk, the amusement factor has worn off for me. Trump - no, thanks; Cruz - the best we have left.

The Stump for Trump gals follow D'Trump's lead. When he was all about building a wall and bringing back jobs, their shtick was very enjoyable. When he turned nasty, so did they, and I quit watching them.

Joe Dan Gorman has a new Intellectual Froglegs out. Gorman used to have the best show, fast-paced, fun, on-target, and sharply conservative.

But now, he's become an uncritical D'Trump fanboi, and taken up attacks on Cruz and Levin and glazing over anything Trump has done or said that could be criticized.

Gorman's still not as nasty as some other Trumpeters, but pretty much toeing the Trump line all the way. Blind fanaticism is scary to see in people I respected. "But, daddy, I'm in loooovvvve!" Takes quite a shock to unseat such emotional investment.

I still watched the whole latest Froglegs, but it's getting harder. Teeth-gritting through the majority of it, because, fanboi. Sad to see, for someone who was a strong conservative voice.

I think Gorman represents a lot of the disaffected conservatives who think being "pragmatic" in supporting Diablo Trump beats critical thinking.

The Stump for Trump gals represent the rest of the Trump pack, who are all about "ditching and switching" to Republican for the primaries, but when it comes to the election, if Trump isn't there, they'll all be back in the woodwork or voting for the democrat.

Personally, I'd like to see Cruz, warts and all, be the Republican nominee, going up against Hillary the Gangster, or better, Bernie the outright Communist.

So many folks declare Cruz "unelectable" - I'd like to find out.

I'd like to see Constitutionalism versus Communism on the menu. Then, if True-Blue Cruz does lose to the bloody Reds, America has proven itself to be suicidal, but at least the clear choice will be made.

House! People! Action! well, sort-of.

Finally getting really wild, these art pix.

And Waldo is behind the chimney.

Syriaslee, the enlarged version linked on the linked Wikiart page is much clearer.

I think I'll take a break. A walk in the twilight. Or maybe go back to bed. Before I get into something I don't want to.

Of course it is. So, the final choice will be the DIABLO or the Democrat. Great.

I finally heard something not-so-great about OkWU last night.

Milady tells me that our son the pizza delivery guy says, when they get an order from OkWU, teacher or student, they never tip.

Me, I'd tell 'em they can come pick it up or order elsewhere, but I ain't the boss, and neither is our underpaid, overworked son. Not like it hurts the pizza place profits any.

(Our daughter the sometime waitress says there are many "Christians" who won't tip, but will leave a pamphlet. "Spiritual" folks unclear on life in the real world.)

Vic: 6 trucks and a car doesn't sound like a hunting accident. Dad's story is not plausible.

You misunderstand - perhaps I was unclear. Of course it was no accident. "Hunting" is what they told Dad they were doing. It was Dad who put 2 & 2 together and called the cops on 'em.

Seven trucks and a car. That we know of.

Interesting article Milady pointed out to me, yesterday at American Thinker.

Dan Kruger: "Democrat Strategy: It's all Trump"

[For Democrats,] ...It's a tough situation, and by 2015 you're drinking a lot. You can't come up with a way to win.

Suddenly, there is hope. Donald Trump announces on June 16.

Hallelujah, you know how to handle this, you've done this before! You have a strategy.

You and our buddies in the media engage the strategy, and within days, start reporting on it as if you are innocent bystanders swept up in the phenomenon you created....

Maybe a tad one-dimensional - nothing's simple - but interesting.

US Highway 75 is the corridor that connects here to Tulsa. It's how I go to visit Mom. Along the way is a major Wal-Mart distribution center, so you see their trucks constantly.

The other day, six Wal-Mart trucks, another truck, and car were hit by bullets. No injuries.

Union thugs? Black lives matterers? Muslim snipers? None of the above, it seems. Yesterday, two teenagers were arrested. Dad of one of them tipped off the police that they were out "hunting" at the time of the vehicle shootings. Crisis, apparently, over.

Hope the little creeps get serious time. Hanging is probably off the table....
