Lauren's Son: "they shoot the bad guy but I don't have a gun so I'd have to smash him with a stick!"
Did you then go into "don't bring a stick to a gunfight"?

Chillin the most: Since Bernie is an independent, and Trump is a wild card, they should both run as independents, there by leaving the major parties to put up Hillary and Bush. Hilarity would ensue.
You been reading the prediction I've been making since last October? My presumption, the major parties wouldn't be allowing Trump or Sanders, and then they run as 3rd & 4th parties. Might have to substitute Biden for Hillary or Rubio for Jeb! but same difference.
Speaking of newspapers misrepresenting guns (repeating myself somewhat from last night):
As we were leaving the grocery store late last night, Milady pointed out the headline on the Tulsa World.
"Guns used in most domestic deaths."
Um, really?
I mean, murders, suicides, and self-defense deaths, yeah, I can see, but I don't think they really mean most domestic deaths.
I don't think Jeb Bush is a bad guy. Some things he says and does are right-on.
It's just the important issues where he always seems to be dead wrong.
Morning, glorious, colorful folks in gray boxes!
Speaking of morning glory, I tried to capture the magnificence of this day's sunrise. Couldn't, of course, but, hey, it's sharper than some of the art thread paintings! The close-as-I-could-get results on my site:

Carol, if you're lurking, know that, while I'm not great at this praying thing, your health and your family are often in my thoughts, and prayers of a sort result.
And the move to Texas thing didn't work out, I guess, but I hope whatever you need comes your way. ♥
Well, folks, I've had a day and a half today. Checking out now.
Good night, Morons, 'Ettes, newcomers, beachcombers, cucumbers, coconuts, and demigods from other dimensions.
The Man from Athens: Hot Air is switching to a Facebook only commenting system...
Yeah, I saw that kicked around on the morning threads.
I'm not even good at keeping track of the regulars. Now I gotta sort out the newbies fleeing Hot Air from the trolls and paid arguers (BIRM). I suppose I only need to concern myself with remembering those who survive the initiation ritual.
(Slaps large wooden paddle with holes in it)
Carol: Please pray one last time for God to take Gayle home.
Aw.
I pray God's will be done, Carol, for your friend.
Ah, home at long last, where I can pour myself a beverage, kick off my shoes and other articles of attire, and lounge among the weirdest weirdos of the web for a few minutes before retiring.
Y'know, that grade school English schoolmarm who lives in my head just never lets go.
We went to the grocery store on our way home, of necessity (no bacon). At the self-help checkout lanes, I saw a whiteboard on which was written, "No coupon's at self-service lane. Sorry Mgmt." I blurted out to the checker (young fellow, not devoid of a sensahumor) that there were no coupons allowed because of sorry management. Hahaha. And remarked on the possessive form of coupon. "Just move that apostrophe down as a comma after "sorry," and it'll be all right.
Then Milady pointed out the headline on the Tulsa World. "Guns used in most domestic deaths." Um, really? I mean, murders, suicides, and self-defense deaths, yeah, I can see, but I don't think they really mean most domestic deaths.
Langwich. How do it werk?
So, gimme the 5¢ version of what's been said tonight so I don't have to read 500 comments!?
ThePrimordialOrderedPair: BZZZZT!
The speaker "implies". The listener "infers".
Pet Peeve #11286
Relieved not to have to say that, thanks.
Mike Hammer: The most romantic line in the English language?
Girls:"Here, let me sew that button back on for you."
Funny thing. At college, being a very worldly-ignorant kid, I asked a girl if she could sew a button back on a shirt for me.
She replied: No, but I can show you how to do it.
Married her. Still together, three grown kids later.
And, usually, she sews the buttons, but at least I can do it if I have to.
Yes I do.

NotCoach went where everyone should fear to tread!

Tim in Illinois: A 670 error? that's a new one for me.
"Error 670 problems include computer crashes, freezes, and possible virus infection."
Tim, what did you do??
Also, it struck me today - the headline I saw said McConnell said that a SCOTUS approval should wait until after the election.
Not after the inauguration. After the election.
Hmmmmmm.
Amusing lately to hear radio news, east-coast-centric laughingstock media, lamenting the weather.
Here in NE Okla, we've had a string of wonderful, sunny, cool-but-tolerable days, and several days with highs in the 70's predicted for later this week.
Y'all shoveling snow - can I loan you some glowball warmening?
Can't tell if we're going for 1000 comments again today, or are about to be enstomped. So, before whichever...
Some self-promo again. Over 50 views so far. Let's go viral and get 100!
Donald Trump is a Class Act
But which class?
20-sec video webwork. Listen to the end for full effect.

Oh, language warning.
And Facebook not required to comment.
Golfman: HA refugees. Disregard 488. Wrong. Wrong.
Should be bit.ly/IqT6zt
Knew I would regret it.
Looked anyway.
Funny, though.
The Barrel: The AoSHQ pixyware survival guide is here: http://tinyurl.com/za8aqzr
Thanks, but the official and slightly easier to remember short link is

And re TinyURL, on my system their links seem to take a long time to load, v any other URL. And even lock up the browser while they load. Anyone else having that experience? Thinking, TinyURL is getting too fat with links to function fast.
B4 this thread gets stomped, thought I'd repost my 1st comment of the day from the early thread:
Got to thinking... (always dangerous...)
I expect Ruth Buzzard Ginsberg to be the next to go.
If we hold out 'til then, just let it be.
Who needs nine judges? Seven will do as well.
Doncha think?
I left Hot Air and came here, because HA changed the commenting to Facebook.
Wow, the commenting software here really sux. Ace should switch to Facebook.
