Morning, Glories!
Big news this morning, so I hear, is that New Hampshire is changing their motto to
"Live fast, die young, and leave a good-looking corpse."

1. As with many topics discussed on this blog, I am utterly unqualified to even comment that I'm unqualified to comment on military aircraft, but I always enjoy lurking and learning (so little as I can). And usually saddened at the state of our military.
B. Prothonotary Warbler, thanks for the info on the Illusive Traveler, et al. May have it for breakfast.
+. HBD 60 Tobac, you youngster.
•. RWC: Just post an article or pic and be done with it. (And this is in no way criticizing Maet. Just think there is too much effort in the ONT.
I think you may be in the minority, there, RWC, but I have to admit there are some nights I don't read everything in depth. Think of it as a smorgaasbord, you don't have to have one of everything, just sample what you want and go on.
♦. I've lurked all I can and I can't lurkz no more.
Good night, noodniks.
Well, dang!
Last night I used the end of the bottle and today I forgot to go to the alcoholic beverage emporium.
In the back of the fridge, I found two bottles.
Illusive Traveler Grapefruit Shandy, apparently a beer. I have no idea where this came from; possibly something my daughter left us.
Also a Woodchuck Granny Smith hard cider. No idea how long that's been hanging around.
I could almost drink the cider, but I think I'll just pass tonight. Bubbles at bedtime make my stummy fussy.
Futz.
Gas prices here in Oklahoma lowest in the nation, and continuing to drop.
Guess I'll buy one of those Land Yachts.
And one for the wife.
Had a close relative who went to Japan and studied meditation at a Zen Buddhist monastery.
Said he had a hard time just keeping his mantra going. He said, Beatles tunes kept running through his mind.
And every time they did, the teacher would come up and whack him on the head.
"We were talking... about the space between us all..."
Finally finished with DrewM's Cruz v Rubio thread. I usually can't hang on in those brawls for very long, but I stuck this one out.
So many non-regulars with the concern trollish opinions, so unlike the regulars who (mostly) write intelligently and (relatively) respectfully even in extreme disagreement.
There were some good, thought-provoking comments. And a couple of mine.
Need to de-tox now, though. Art thread is good for that.
Well, this is different.
The lamps in the temple echo the lights in the town (I presume) below as the only parts not blue and black. Arty!
eman: ...insulting the folks who support Trump is a poor way to start an essay.
Quoting eman rather than the various flaming irregulars because it's simply stated.
I didn't have a problem with that - found it amusing - possibly because of my interpretation of "serious candidate" - even though I'd gladly vote for Trump over whatever the Dems end up with. Maybe eman is right and Drew could have just left out that dig, but if Trumpeters really found his opinion "insulting," well, they should rent a senska humors and get over your overserious selfs, or go to their safe spaces.
Trump has been compared to a carnival barker. I like that. I think of P.T. Barnum, who at least had his eye on the bottom line, famously even on his deathbed.
Having now read the whole post, twice, a comment, about style, not content.
A single speed bump on a residential street is just a little annoying. A long series of them is truly aggravating and begins to distract attention from careful driving. Or, attention to reading, in this case.
"not a brand of conservatism I adhere too."
to, not too
"only an insane, crazy person"
redundant
"deals will have to be made by too often"
but, not by
"too much too begin with"
too, not to, again
"Republicans in Congress will finally going to find"
are, not will; else, leave out "going to"
"the reality that President's have to accept"
plural, not possessive
And, for my taste, you could use at least a dozen more commas, Oxford and otherwise.
I just keep telling myself, it's only a hasty blog post. It's not like careful, serious writing with an editor...

"I will focus on why conservatives should pick Cruz over Marco Rubio...."
That's as far as I've read so far. Hard to think about reading on because it's like, why one should prefer wine over vinegar as a beverage. But, I'll try, Drew. For old times' sake. ![]()
Hrothgar: nood pro cruz
Oh, good. This thread was moving pretty fast for me. Now I can take time to actually watch the video, check for Vic news in the previous thread, refill my coffee cup, pet the dog...
ThunderB: That was laugh out lid funny!...
Is this stoner humor?
MP4: ...So the gauntlethas been thrown, sirrah?...
Hey, I was jus' saying, not criticizing... but... (looks at link), never mind, that's okay. Not at work.
(But, would Ace approve of this link?)
At SMFH's link:
Since news of their arrival was broadcast, Hanusz said she's been overwhelmed with people wanting to help from churches to residents offering to adopt children.
"That's really been gratifying," she told me. "These are kids that have needs that all kids have. The response has really shown there is a lot of aloha and concern for these kids."
Are these "kids" like the ones marching across Europe? Why are they here instead of home? Etc. the usual questions. Plus, "aloha" - guess it means more than hello and g'bye?
MP4: ...somewhat NSFW...
Yeah, had to enlarge the pic and then squint to see nip.
About as NSFW as the old scrambled cable channels without unscrambler.
Cute, though.
Morning, Glories! Looks like I missed the serious thread already this morning.
And this art thread is unusual.
* gets out of hot tub, shakes like the ol hounddog *
Well, this was refreshing, in an odd sort of way.
My beverage has been consumed
I have to meet the morning
When we will find how else we're doomed
By Vic's or Monty's warning
Good night, gnats
And then I saw Anna Puma's snowman pic link @#48. What a coinkydink.
* dives into the hot tub for a few minutes *
Evening, y'all.
There are some things in life that are just perfect. Like movies you think, I've seen this so often, I can't enjoy watching it again, but then you start, and it sucks you right in. Like what Milady and I watched tonight.
"Ray, if somebody asks you if you're a god, say YES!"
( *sniff* say, this hot tub hasn't had any Syrian Refuse-ees in it, has it? )
