Morning, Glories!
We're almost at 500, I see. Going for 1000 again today? This ship ain't built to hold that many!
I think on that note ♪ it must be time for me to retire.
I was tired before. I'm tired again.
Goooood night, Gracies!
Wait...! Maggie Smith was Jean Brodie? *stunned*
I saw that in theater with my steady in high school...
*still stunned*
Speaking of transgender cookies...
What's in a name? Milady ran across a website tonight that mentions, one of the first to do trans-sexual surgery in the USA? Dr. John Money.

Maetenloch: ...But a few years after college I ended up reading them again and found them much more interesting and meaningful.
Had to Summer-read Moby Dick before 10th grade (scared new kid entering a small K-12 prep school). I don't think I made it through. So boring and heavy! (Oddly, I seem to recall being the only one in the class who appreciated some of the Biblical allusions. And I was sure not a Bible student. So I looked like I'd read it....)
Read it through, finally, decades later, and really enjoyed it. It wasn't as heavy, or boring.
But then, the last time I read it, a decade or so ago, I woke up the wife laughing out loud sometimes.
That book list - isn't it cheating to have a "20 books" list with Lord of the Rings (usually pubished as three books, although I have a combo copy, and intended by the author as SIX?) and, especially, Harry Potter (7 books)??
Also, Sherlock and 50*3 Shades.
I demand a recount.
Kalneva: ...how the f do you people work, read books, and have time to comment here?
Well, personally, I have people to sleep and eat and bathe for me. Leaves lots of extra time for the rest.
Root beer + Smirnoff whipped cream vodka + Blue Bunny Peanut Butter Panic = happiness.

I've gone off, had a nice lunch of scrambled egg quesadillas, come back, and it's still this thread?
And... and... it smells like someone knocked the barrel over and the sludge in the bottom spread everywhere.
The thread ration has been increased. There will be no additional threads until the overnight. Ace will, however, re-post that long one from the other day.
Foghorn Leghorn: Someone needs to start a new thread rumor... only to have it denied...

Ace is up and has left a book-length review of the movie Gone with the Wind.
Oh, wait, wait, my mistake. Never mind. No nood. Hi ho, on to comment #1000!
Hola tambien.
Had some connection problems there for a while, but I appear to be back on.
Read up to #200, then skipped to current. What did I miss that's invaluable?

jewells45: ...They have to do a small bowel resection to remove appendix and polyp. I'm kind of freaked out over it.
Even minor surgery is a major concern. That said...
a) I've lived without an appendix for over half a century, and never missed it
b) you have plenty of extra colon (seems to be a wise design - two relatives have had some removed in recent years, and seem fine)
c) God bless you that removing the polyp is sufficient and you have no further problems

Surprised to see it's just the morning thread up. That being so, not surprised to see about 550 comments.
In before the next thread!
I just left a comment saying "in before the next thread." Guess I was wrong.
