MH: ...bullshit on the car. cat. Half face normal half face sharpie painted
I dunno. We used to have an orange cat and a black cat. They would fight and rough'n'tumble all over the house. One night after a particularly boisterous engagement, all we could find was one cat that looked just like that one. ...
True story.

Suddenly, Cruz surges 'way ahead of Trump in Iowa polls.
Gee, that's timely timing....
Oboy, a cat video! I haven't seen one all day.
So, we've had days and days of clear skies, warm temperatures, sunny days and starry, starry nights.
Geminids meteor shower tomorrow night? Yayy. Oh, oh, no, wait... forecast is for overcast, rain, and chilly.

Oh, yeah: Baby it's warm outside here in NE OK, too. 70° now, and days ahead in the 50s-60s, but cold nights return next week, sayeth the forecast.
In the "Joys of Rural Life" department, two items:
When clouds of starlings roost around here, I prefer to show my appreciation for them by setting off some pop bottle rockets in their direction.
Our "gardening" today consisted of continuing to drive the truck around and gather up the tree debris from the past two storms. Took a big load of limbs and twigs, and all our burnable trash, added that to the already heaped up pile, and had a nice little fire. Sue me, global warmists and climate chaotics!
Well, I get to the bottom of the post and there's no comments. I coulda been a contender if I hadn't stopped to read all that. Such a loss.
Old Christmas is on January 6th. You might know it as the Feast of Epiphany. Do any of you celebrate "Old Christmas?"
My native family didn't have any such celebration, but my Catholic in-law family, well, Catholics are very big on loading the calendar up with holidays, I found out.
My late, sainted mother-in-law used to always bake an Epiphany cake. In it, she would put a ring. The one who got the slice with the ring in it would get... a dollar when I knew her (Milady says, it varied, not that much when they were kids), but much more than that, the thrill and honor.
A tradition we carry on.
My late cousin's daughter's birthday is that day, so at our house it's extra partyish.
BTW, Epiphany traditionally celebrates the arrival of the three wise guys.
Hey, what do we know about "Americans for Prosperity"? Milady just got a survey call from them.
Me, I don't even pick up when I get a call from an unknown number, but if I did take a survey I'd probably mess with them. Milady just politely refused.
Bruce Boehner: mww, what are DIABOLOs? To be honest, they all seem diabolical to me.
Nobody's perfect, but we have a fairly good congresscritter. And there's Tom Cotton over in Arkansas. And then there's... um... well... some Texas fellows... um... that skinny guy with the bad haircuts... that kind of beefy looking guy who's pretty good hard-ass on committees... um.. (siiigh)
DIABLO: Democrat In All But Label Only
I know the last two elections were disappointing, in that we thought we got more tea-party types in, took over Congress, and took over more governorships and state legislatures, only to get betrayed by so many fake conservatives and sell-outs. In our own Senate primary, the true tea-party guy got beat by the more establishment type, sadly. And this in a true-blue (by which I mean pretty conservative) state.
But, while electing Republicans is certainly not enough, it's just the first step in a two-stage effort. We have to push out the Democrats. Then we have to push out the RINOs and DIABLOs. The latter stage is the harder one, so a lot of weak sisters wilt during this part.
I just don't see a third party being viable at this time, not ruling it out, but nothing's on the horizon - and if we start splitting the party, we just hand it back to the Dems.
This isn't the whole answer, of course. Sour judgeships, entrenched bureaucracies, massive regulatory agencies all have to be rewritten. Only moving the window to the Constitutional conservative side will actually achieve any of this. And with the advanced battle line the commies have reached, it's going to be a powerful battle. But worth it. Lives, fortunes, and sacred honor, and all that.
Just armchair noodling. I'll simply leave it at that, and let the contrarian voices dissect me now. Bon appetit.
There's a large video window obscuring part of this web site's main page. Also keep getting automatic re-directs to a sales page for apps.

Bruce w/aW!: Quiche is too light....
I know some quiche I've had at restaurants is fluffy-light. Milady says she thinks that's because they blenderize it.
Her hearty quiche is not like that.
* pats belly, belches appreciatively *
VIA: Ate about half of it, and later told her that was one of our local markets better ones....
Whoa! Not only a fantastic cook but a forgiving wife, if you didn't end up in the doghouse for that one!
BurtTC: Real men don't eat quiche - yeah, I know the book. I think the attitude preceded the book, but that certainly popularized it. Presumably, it's partly because the name is in the language of those "cheese-eating surrender weasels"... who are now kicking ass on mosques and invaders.
I've mentioned before, when we last had a cafe, we served "Quiche and Quinoa," and the sign said, "just say 'keesh and keen-wah'" - for the Okie crowd.
The most excellent little quichelet I just had was prepared a couple of days ago by Milady. About three minutes in the nuclear oven at half-power to re-heat. Great snack. It had shredded zucchini, no bacon, but, "zucchini" just didn't fit the meter of my little pome.

Quiche has a bad reputation.
I've never been really sure why.
All it is, the kind that I like, is just
bacon, eggs, and cheese pie.

Without looking, I presume it's that the Climate Chaos Conference Clowns have rescued the planet from the evil capitalist countries' conspicuous consumption.
IOW, the rise of the oceans has been stopped.
On the unlikely chance Cruz gets the nom, would Teh Donald throw his support to him? That's about the only scenario I can imagine where the Republicans can beat the more overt commie party next year.
Far from perfect, but I'll take what I can get.
Just noticed I double-posted, except the tagline was different. Don't know how I did that, but I expect I need to get some coffee.

Yesterday morning, my in-town son dropped by for breakfast. Talked about the cell purchases and propane tank thefts. I said, I don't know what you'd do with those together. Son said, "I do," and proceeded to describe the technique. Didn't sound very difficult.
