Misanthropic Humanitarian: ...Hope to god our house is de-cluttered by the time it's time for me to leave

This is my current goal. House, among other matters. On the other hand, I picked up all their legos and barbie accessories - my clutter is payback.

I frequently think of my Dad, involved in a lawsuit with the IRS over his dad's estate. Dad worried to his sister, what if something should happen to him before the suit was settled?

Then he suddenly died.

Was nearly ten years later that the suit was finally settled.

Oscar winning movies and your birth year.

How timely: Biggest movie ($14 million in the US), Best Picture, and Best Story: The Greatest Show on Earth.

Also Singing in the Rain. Milady and I watched that again recently. Fun.

Howdy, late-nighties. I'm in for a few, whether that's a few minutes, a few comments, or a few winks, I'm not sure.

I'm starting to think Trump does three impossible things every day before breakfast.

:D

I thought Trump's confirming response was hilarious.

…Borgo Finocchieto, a refurbished 14th century village… features… multiple saunas and Jacuzzis, a swimming pool, a gym and a basketball court…

Yeah, that sounds just like a 14th Century village.

Good morning, or afternoon as it may be east of me.

Later than usual to the games today. Have I missed anything important?

O BTW, I've spent 'way too much time today surfing YouTubes. Apparently, so did MisHum.

Who clicked on and watched all the way through every link - show of hands? Ew. No. The other hand.

Jesus had some course corrections to offer to Judaism, the finest religion on earth at the time. These corrections were, by and large, rejected by the people most ready to receive them.

If there are some course corrections to offer to Christianity, the finest religion on the earth at the time, would these corrections, by and large, be rejected by the people most ready to receive them?

Good night, Gracies.

Blanco Basura: This is excellent advice. Inlaws have wrecked more than one marriage, or sure as hell tried to.

This is daughter's marriage example. I thought he was just kind-of beta male, but not a bad dude. Beware the actually schizophrenic - they can fool you.

He would have a big fight with Daughter, and run off to his parents. Then he would come back and lament to us all that his parents were crazy. Then he would run back to mommy. Domineering Mom won out and he ran out on Daughter.

His parents ended up fleeing town after an embezzlement scandal. Daughter's pregnancy failed. Awful in the max, but good to not be tied to those in-laws. Life is a mixed bag.

I consider myself a fairly good judge of personalities, but his split psyche had me fooled for a long time.

Girls, you also have an oblig not to let crazy dick stick you. As it were.

From some earlier thread: I searched on the Hello Kitty AR-15 assault rifle and got this NSFW response which doesn't seem to have anything to do with AR-15s but thought I should link it, anyway. Some line-feed removal may be required. For the cell readers.

This morning, Daughter came by for breakfast. She'd had a date this week with someone she ran across on some dating webthing.

He listed himself as atheist and progressive. She flat-out told him she went out with him even though. She liked him well enough, but, well, you know. You can't really compromise.

At first she was all like, dating is hard to get back into. Then later she got all seriously discouraged.

I told her, yes, just like the poor schlubs Moron guys who say they had a bad date and were going to never go out again. I told her she should look up a nunnery. Probably one with a vow of silence.

Over 30 but still only 29. Divorced, long ago. Dancer's bod. Constitutional mind. Jesusonian religion. Serious about life & marriage. Awesome. Totally someone a Moron guy would be delighted with.

Except for that Mindful Webworker father-in-law. Always check the parents before deciding whether teh crazy is worth the effort.

I always think of this as a Gospels quote, but, no, it's from John's acid trip on Patmos:

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

I heard the knocking. I tried to open the door. I tugged, and pulled, and pried, and grunted and strained, but the door was jambed shut. I yelled through it: Don't go away! I'm trying to open it!

Nothing different today from the past several thousand days except the weakening of my strength to endure it.

What do the friends of Job tell him? You must not be believing the right thing. You didn't do the right rituals. You had some kind of carry-forward karma. And with each friend's ideas, Job returned with righteous refutation. He never found what was right, quite, but he knew all his friends' ideas missed the mark.

I don't know what's right. I just know how it is isn't.

So, don't mind me. It's been a long day, week, month, year, decade, century so far. Just needed to vent.
