Has there ever been a valid noose sighting?
Well, let's face it. Ropecraft and knot-tying are lost arts, especially now that the Boy Scouts are giving badges for flower arrangement and condom control.

IRS agent being prosecuted for sexual battery during an audit.
Beyond metaphor to the real thing, eh?
Fresh Vic News! Now I'm glad I got up early.
On this day in 1890 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officially renounced polygamy. Although some still practice it on the sly today.
Polygamy's now politically corrected to "polyamory" and everyone's invited to play, young and old. No more of that old-fashioned guilt-inducing "adultery" or "fidelity."
That's the problem with getting up from sleeping. It happens right after you've been sleeping.

Morning Pre-dawn, y'all. No morning thread. No Vic. No coffee. I must've got out of bed too soon.
JackStraw: I think what they really meant was question traditional authority. They sure as hell don't question lefty authority and there is no more authoritarian group than lefties. They want to control everything.
Yes. I actually thought something like this as I was writing, but didn't want to overload my comment, so I'm glad you added it. "Question authority, except Big Brother."
Ach! Me poor lonely orphaned last-thread comment!...
Careful. That painting's still wet.
BackwardsBoy: I took one saying from the '60's to heart: Question Everything. ...
I've always said,
They told us, "Question authority." So I did. I found out (sometimes the hard way) that a lot of authority was authority for very good reason. Some I rejected, much I accepted. It's a good idea, questioning authority.
I also found that people who parroted "question authority" really meant "reject authority without question." Isn't language a funny thing!
Milady and I are nearly-tail-end boomers. We've noted many times that there seems to be a marked difference between those born before us and those born after us. We see it in our older and younger siblings and all their friends. We're seemingly part of a very tight dividing line group, born circa '51-53. What difference there is, we could write a book, yet it's practically indefinable.
I'm pretty sure it had to do with television.

Apropos of pizza, roughly...
Pizza Math chart was posted on the ONT a while back, or maybe the food thread. Wasn't it? Glad I bit-ly'd it.
For non-regressives only. Number of slices not noted.
Sometimes there are ameliorating circumstances. We don't order the extra-large, though, because the large box fits easily on the fridge shelf. Lazy left-overing.
Well, the world seems to have been properly set on its course by the Horde this morning, so I guess I can safely go feed the pets. Before they turn on me.
Reaganite Republican's Hump-Day humor collection of posters political and humorous (and animated) is especially rich today.
This one was (mostly) news to me:

Well, um, that's one way to link to Vic's news, I guess. :/
World leaders met at the United Nations today to beg the United States to use military force to stem the ever-growing humanitarian disaster in Syria, knowing full well they will then turn around and blame the US shortly thereafter....
