OK, off to the BMV. Hope they take my check.
Love one another, groovy babies.

Well, dang! I was gonna ask God to check my work on #117.
Anyway, fine that God visits, but what's happened to Vic?

"All Scientists Should Be Militant Atheists"
Oh good grief. Just from that, it sounds like someone who understands neither science nor faith.
Science, per se, just studies material stuff. On that which is supermaterial, the study of nature can never yield any conclusions, nor even entertain a theory.
Religion - the personal experience of relationship with Deity - starts with "God is." Not as a theory to be proved, not a hypothesis to refute, just that axiom, from which the rest of your theology must be divined (swidt?).
So, of course you can't see God in nature, or in humankind, or in personal experience, if you start with "God isn't."
This first cup of coffee has not done the job.
Morning, Glories!
So cool this morning I actually put on pants and socks. Don't dis me for that. I was tempted to fire up the furnace (Too soon! Too soon!), so pants and socks was an economizing compromise.
Ace: ...suggesting that Political Correctness/microagression culture taught in college is... warping their thinking, and making them mentally ill... I think it's 100% right and I'm glad someone had the guts to say so...
Yeah, but, um, I think I've been reading that very idea from many commenters here, for a long time now.
But, just Morons. ![]()
Seen this?
Wind, heavy rains, and lightning strike cause giant crane to fall on Mecca's Grand Mosque during pilgrimage - at least 65 dead.

Garrett: I found the kitty.
That really wasn't a hard one.
I laughed.
Still one of the most amazing things about 9/11 was that, simply because of modern telephonic technology, people on board Flight 93 actually found out what was going on, and we have many big clues about what they did in response.
I never saw the theatrical Flight 93 release. This is a one-hour documentary-re-enactment which I recall as being pretty good.

ghost of hallelujah: He has not removed his hat whilst eating. What the fcuk kinda joint is this?
Aha! So I wasn't the only one who noticed this breach of decorum! There's still hope for society. Or something.

Painted lady, man smoking, animal in restaurant, no problem.
But that bum with the lady has his hat on! Lowlifes.
Sefton: Composing in the browser again? Anything over two sentences, use Notepad or something.
(So the webworker says, still not having learned the lesson himself.)
If I fatfinger and accidentally leave a webpage in which I'm composing, or the web somehow didn't take a post, Opera browser usually retains the text in the input box when I return to the page. Gotta give 'em props for that. I've recovered lost text many times because of that, for which comment-readers here are surely grateful... ![]()
Soothsayer: Only on TV do I see Westerners eat with chopsticks. I do not know anyone who does this...because it's stupid....
How you can tell when someone has not mastered the skill.

Morning, Glories!
I didn't get up and check for Vic News or Drudge first thing in those days. We weren't newshounds, had no TV. It was all over by the time Milady and I were driving into town and heard the news on the radio.
At first they were talking about Rush being grounded at some airport. Huh? Then they talked about refineries being shut. That made my skin prickle. Then came the recap: "The World Trade Centers are gone."
I hadn't yet heard how, didn't know about the planes, Pennsylvania, or the Pentagon. We didn't know the whole horror story. But I knew who had done it because they'd said they would. First thing I did was curse the bastards for that.
We turned around, drove back home, and had a talk with the kids about "your Pearl Harbor." As far as changing the world forever, the comparison was apt. But it's not comparable insofar as it was less than four years from Pearl Harbor to Hiroshima. We won WW2.
Whatever I thought we would do in response, the current world situation -- John Kerry as SoS? Sodamn Hussein as President?? -- is certainly not what I imagined on 9/11.
Cool and light rain this morning. Sky's getting light here in the middle of the nation. Another day breaks.
God bless America. Again.
Holy cow. So many thoughts jumbling out at once.
• Chance to show cheesecake - wiggling bikini-clad girl.
• Cheesecake, relatively: Is she (how can I say?) not Beauty Pageant pretty, because the little-bit-dumpy gal is the target market, or because she actually passes for Beauty Pageant Pretty for British gals at that time? I denounce myself.
• Shaving while shaking - always a good idea.
• Yes, we all know where "tired businessman" uses the gloves... after shaving.
Gonna go feed the pets. Got a dentist appt this morning. Need to get my Driver License renewed. Not sure how to fit the yard work in. I'd rather sit here, drink coffee, and watch Trump Wars on Channel Ace of Spades, but fortunately Real Life has other plans.

Yes. This is both true, and so not right.

Oh, yes, please, what I want is more things that restrict my choices!
I can see this being expanded to innumerable activities....
