Morning, Glories!

Here's the headline of the day yesterday. Good news!

Caitlyn's Surgery a Resounding Success

[It's not what you might think, if you've been stuck in the LaughingStockMedia perversion festival.]

...the 15-month old Staffy-mix that was found last week in critical condition with her muzzle clamped shut with electrical tape, is now recovering from surgery and is expected to make a full recovery....

Early Cro Magnon man: Aren't you a little old to be trolling or do you have a personality disorder that compels that sort of sick behavior?

Trolling Tourette's (note the chronically recurring themes). Seeks acceptance and friendship, but can't really control the repulsive behavior. Difficult case.

If Kerry were seriously injured in an assassination attempt, the big plane and other factors make a bit more sense.

But that’s just a crazy rumor.

Jerusalem Post
…Kerry’s meeting, in which the alleged assassination attempt took place, was with Gulmurod Khalimov, a senior Tajik police commander, trained in the United States, who announced his defection to Islamic State in a video released last week… Khalimov was well aware of State Department security procedures and he used the knowledge to get another member of his entourage into the secret meeting with Kerry, with the intention of assassinating him… report cited communications intercepted by Russian intelligence from France, the US and Switzerland as confirming that two other people were shot in the incident, one of them fatally.…

...There is an election to influence in 2016. Cities must burn....

When I hear of TFG freeing our enemies from Gitmo, I marvel that the military hasn't pulled a coup. America?

Tell you a little secret, after the 2008 elections, I thought maybe SCOAMF might not live to take the oath of office. But he did. I still wonder if he'll make it to the end of his term. Alas, probably. But... jus' sayin'... jus' sayin'.

Okla Police Practice Good "Gun Control"
Dallas Franklin, KFOR-TV

A new report claims that Oklahoma has more police-involved fatalities per capita than any other state so far this year. ...most of the people killed by police were armed at the time of the incident. ...

If a policeman asks you to stop, I suggest you stop. In Oklahoma, or anywhere, but especially Oklahoma.

Arson Wells: ...assassination attempt on Kerry, why cover it up? I don't see any advantage in this. Although the administration would cover it up to prevent having to do something about it.

Furst, folks, it was ISIS not Iran that supposedly pulled this.

Secord, why would they? Because, ISIS b a$$hole$.

Therd, why cover it up? Because SCOAMF will always stand with the Musslemen.

Me: Considering the assassination attempt rumors

Bigby: Haven't heard anything like that.

Sorry. Thought this would've been more commonly known. Here's one article...

BenK channels Gabe?

I asked last thread, getting only a couple of jocular responses which were fine, but seriously (sort-of)...

Considering the assassination attempt rumors, has anybody heard anything about Kerry since he got on board that transport?

"Assassination attempt" better fits the whole scene* than "broken femur" (*flying his physician to Europe, taking the big transport back).

Not exactly Archduke Ferdinand level, but in a different nation in a different time, an assassination attempt on our Sec of State would evoke some response other than a cover-up. Nowadays....

Ricardo Kill: So the guy, maybe already worked up and adrenalin flowing, gets told by the po-po he has to leave and he reacts like "fcuk you, I ain't leavin' my truck!" and off he goes?

That's about what it looked like to me. Totally understandable, right up to the point where he marches right up to a cop and shoves him. That's just something that's outside my imagination's boundaries of things to do in such a (any) situation, but, then, I try to avoid Suicide by Officer.

Was about to drop this in the last thread, when I saw there was a new one, so, here y'go. No links. Sorry.

Here in Oklahoma, we had a state trooper shoot a guy to death. Dead guy was Nehemiah Blessed [SomethingLastName], an "associate pastor." He and his brother were trying to get their truck unstuck in the floods. Two troopers came along and told them to get the heck out of there.

The story we first got was from dead guy's brother. He said Nehemiah came out of the ditch first, and when brother got out, Nehemiah was already shot dead. Said, with all the rushing water and wind, they didn't even know they were cops.

The family all exclaimed how this associate pastor was a great guy, sided with cops, would never cause trouble. His mother actually called the 6'-something broad-shouldered Nehemiah "a gentle giant." (Clue!)

Nehemiah was (legally) open-carrying a sidearm he'd just received as a birthday present, never been fired. There was some speculation that might have played into the cops' shooting him.

Now we have the video. Both brothers walk out of the water together, marching up to the officers. The officers can clearly be seen, and heard identifying themselves. The officers are already telling the pair to settle down, when one of them (presumably the about-to-die guy) attacks a cop. Whoops!

A gentle Brobdignatian with Lilliputian common sense.

Marilyn is to me like the Beatles.

Never cared about Beatlemania. I liked the music. (Most of what I liked back when still stands up pretty well, all these decades later, at least to this old fogie, or I'm deluded by nostalgia.)

Likewise, fascinatingly sad as her personal life was, I recall liking some of Marilyn's film performances. She exuded talentedly.

Somewhere in the catacombs is Dad's 195? calendar with Marilyn's centerfold from Playboy. So, that, too. (Lost its collectible mint value a long time ago, but still a keeper.)
