anon a mouse: "...no plans to import DC area politics to Texas."

That's the best part.

Your vote counters one Cali "turn Texas Commie"* import.

anon a mouse: Thought it would be warmer.

Heh. I have a theory it's all these people moving from colder climes, dragging the weather with them.

You picked a cool May to move. Don't expect it to be like this every Spring. You'll get a false impression.

Like Milady says about having moved to Oklahoma in gorgeous October, as opposed to, say, sweltering August.

Congrats again on the move!

flounder: Yeah, it was 20 some odd posts, so you would get a wall of links with no info why you should click or this.

Ah, I think I understand what you're saying. No, I meant one would just link to Vic's first one. Vic himself usually announces the comment number in the ONT for the start of his links. I do it every day on my blog heap o'links. (click nic)

But, just noodlin'. Not criticizin'.

On to the other threads!

Muldoon: Thanks for doing that, flounder.

See, now, one man's obnoxious wall of text is another man's welcome repost. It's a wide, wide world. ♫

@JohnTant: She heard the story about Wi Fi and is now convinced that the office is bathed in lethal radiation.

"I was reading about hypochondria, and I'm pretty sure I've got that."

Tell her, the WiFi is minor compared to the cell phone and especially cell tower radiation. She needs to move far away from them.

That was my thought, Ed, but look again. There is a link to the full Orkin list.

Says here it's 49°F in NE Okla. Forecast does not show any more temps in the 40s. Sure would be nice to leave the furnace off now, finally. O'course, next week I'll complain about the 80° days.

Vic: In fact, don't eat raw anything except vegetables that have had a good washing.

Raw vegetables? EEeewww.

I thought vegetables were "beef stew helper."

Time for that 2nd cup of coffee already.

Carol: "My older brother doesn't want to move to TX because of the recent tornadoes!"

Morning, Carol. I live in twister country, and let me tell you, the threat is overblown. Not that it will make any difference to your brother, but that's pretty silly. You're probably in much more significant danger from drunken illegal invader drivers. Everywhere.

Take the entire area of Texas, mark the tornado paths on it, where serious damage has been done, and per square foot, you're probably safer anywhere in Texas than on a hurricane coast. But such thinking is likely to dissuade your brother's fears, since thinking and fear often tend to be exclusive mental departments.

I would not move to a trailer home on a hilltop in the middle of a wide-open prairie.

A thought: Invest in lint rollers if hugging ewoks?

Goooood evening, morons and moronettes of spades

Adding -ettes is sexist. SJW's discuss. Even better: Disqus.

Speaking of Turing, Milady and I are about half-way through watching Ex Machina. Don't know where it's going, but it's intriguing. The main character is not stupid, yay. Everything absolutely everything is suspect. Hope it pays off. But we have to do that old people thing and go to bed, so, unfinished movie, and just passing through to annoy the ONT before I do.

#1morething, watched Xmen Future Past finally, and I think the Quicksilver scene (you know the one) is the best superheroic film bit I've ever seen. Watched just that scene again the next day. For superspeedster action, nothing in the whole first season of The Flash compares. There. Got that out. Now I can disappear into the time vortex. *vllorrop*

Say g'night, Gracies.
