An observation.

Trying to get a dog to decide what he wants to do (e.g. go inside/outside) only works when he has a real need (e.g. to go outside to take a dump). Otherwise, what a loyal dog only wants is to know what you want the dog to do.

I can sympathize, sort-of. http://bit.ly/eternal-dialogue

Rich, FCF: See, now, the morning crowd will at least acknowledge one's presence.

Might be a crude acknowledgement, but it'll be an acknowledgement.

What this sleepy Sunday morning thread needs is some churchifyin'. Where's Pastor FenelonSpoke? (Oh, yeah, probably at church.)

This'll have to do.

So, no Vic again today (he did warn us) and I gather there's already been some banhammering on the EMT? Is this a way to start a Sunday?

Last night I posted:

Just drove home through wild wind & rain, listening to the radio guys talk about 70mph gusts and funnels spotted just a few miles south of us. Sweaty moments, but made it home. The front porch is a sea.

Just another Spring evening in NE Oklahoma.

Did anyone say, glad you're safe? or, wow that sounds wild? or even, hello? No they did not.

The ONT are a closed and unfriendly society.

For all the wind we had last night, very little tree debris on the ground this morning - we already had our pruning winds, it seems.

Morning, Glories! Now to read that long, long post, and the wisdom of the horde commentariat.

Folks east of us, look out. This line of storms is not wide, but definitely nasty.

20 minutes since last comment?

Whoa, did Drew's war news post really kill this political-reflections thread while I wasn't looking?

I understand the horde-of-corgis-mooove-on aspect of AoSHQ, but weekend threads shouldn't die so quickly. Why, I might've had something else to say!

Or did everybody just take a long bathroom break?

Mama AJ: "...support your local homeschoolers! And support/help educate kids outside of schools..."

Yeah, well, did that with our three, and it seems to have taken. took. tooken?

And I know they continue to influence their fellows, so it does radiate.

Feels like a pitiful drop in the bucket, compared to the Federal Indoctrination Institutions, but there's hope in that the enemy are so self-defeating, they create converts: for recent example, the school lose-your-lunch program.

Feh: "Part of the problem is the feeling that deportation is unfeasible. Another feeling is that it's unAmerican. A third feeling is that white America is dying."

eman (not in reply, I don't think, but applied by me as reply): "This is not something that just sort of happened; it was engineered."

What was engineered in the long haul was an electorate basing their decisions on "feelings," as Feh illustrates. Extremely confused feelings ungrounded by intellect, values, or faith.

Don't know anything that can be done about it, at any level other than living and preaching faith, values, and intelligent reflection. Which ironically can only be done by making a stronger appeal to feelings by truth than by the lies.

They may play the long game. I'd bet the Spirit of Truth plays the longer game.

Good-bye to Little Miss? *sniff* That's sad.

In this new life, how will we recognize you?

Unnnnggghhhhh...

Morning, Glories.

I need a second cup of coffee, I guess. Can't seem to get the mental motor started, even with all this stimulating commentary.

I blame lack of Vic.

(Like I taught my kids, it's not just important to know who to blame, it's important to blame someone who isn't present.)

Christopher Taylor: I have no sense of humor that I'm aware of.

Ah. Noted. FBI? or MiB?

CT: just wanted to make sure people understood...

Sure, and such pedantry is fine per se, but as a reply, note that the punch of my saying that I would boycott the popcorn was predicated on folks knowing what you explained, in that only the theater owner would be hurt and Disney/Marvel would get their cash, thus rendering the "boycott" ineffective but to see it, one must pay admission whereas one need not buy popcorn so it's like cutting corners, just the wrong corner. Ha ha ha.

Also, saying you killed the joke was a joke.

Also, FBI? or MiB? was a joke.

And voxplaining my joke to death was a joke.

Have you tried Humorless Anonymous? We're here to help you learn to laugh. Or at least smirk knowingly.

Christopher Taylor: The studios don't get any money from the popcorn.

Yeah. I know. Way to kill the gag, CT.

Read post instead of comments. Oops. Could happen to anyone, right?

Boycott Age of Ultron? I had thought I would, even before this current call of Ace's, but... but... apparently, Age of Ultron takes place just before Agents of SHIELD's last two episodes, so I can't read forward until I've collected that issue. I mean, watch forward in the series until I've seen that movie. Or, spoilers!

But, by thunder, if Ace says boycotting Avengers will put a dent in their billion-dollar take so far, I'll help. I'll skip the popcorn.

I'll boycott that Disney emotions cartoon movie, okay?
