comments that say things like "I just spewed coffee" or "You owe me a keyboard"
and
actually doing so.
The stupidest man in the room should be a pool boy maintenance man. Might teach him sumpin'.
My mother says her father was never the same after catching a whiff of mustard gas in WW1.
Slogging through mud, blood, & hell, and mustard gas, but mostly the mustard gas?
Chemical warfare is nasty.
Nobody loves me but my mother
And she could be jivin' too. ♫
Thanks, BB King.
Lucky, lucky angels.
Morning, Glories.

Uh... can't blame autodiction?
What th...? Ace is up and stompin' already?
Must be time for me to go make myself useful.
First time for everything.
Prosecution asks for death for "heinous, cruel and depraved" Tjoker. Defense says spare poor baby because he was helplessly under brother Speedbump's influence.
Just takes one juror can spare him.

dartist: One claimed that he knows a witness that saw the tracks swing out with the train that derailed and another that there is some sort of hook system on the cars and track that engage over certain speeds to prevent derailment.
On Levin? I heard some of that. The tracks swinging out, that must've been a sight, 50mph bend taking 100mph train.
Automated slow-down system described was in the NY subway system. If I got it right, something like this is being installed on major rails, but was not yet installed in the crash area.
Regardless, I presume that trains have been taking bends like that, regularly, for ages, at proper speeds, without incident, since the wild west days of rails. Suggests to me the problem is operator error. Duh.
The Simpsons had already deteriorated badly when I gave it up.
While we had our fine volunteer guys fighting in wars, Simpsons had a scene where military recruiters at the mall can't convince some punks to join up. One of the recruiters remarks something like, "We can't even get the dumbest kids from the dumbest town to sign up!"
Turned it off. Never watched again.
What's Driving The Kafkaesque Crackdown On Free-Range Parenting? I read a few paragraphs, closed the tab, then realized I never got the answer to what's driving the crackdown. So I re-opened the tab, tried to read further, and I guess my attention went deficit, because I gave up and never did exactly get the answer. George Will? Oh.
Then, I only get a bit of Springtime For Dictators because restricted access.
I can't believe how little I care about the zombie Simpsons show.
And something on the 4thA/Open Carry page locked up my browser.
Just not having a lot of luck with the links today, but thanks for your work, alla time, BenK.
Bob's House: Works now.
Ugh. Thanks for the help. Wish I could edit that comment with the wrong link.
I petition the Magical Pixy Cob Sysop, could you please change the link in my #281 to this?

(Can you imagine if we tried to enlist the cobs to help us correct every error in the comments? When we can't even seem to get de-hectorized most days? Just joshing earnestly; love you cobs; thanks Andy especially for all the hard work you put into these morning threads!!)

Was Reagan slow on addressing this new, mysterious disease?
FWIW, a short armchair-research article I wrote back in 2011. One of the most-hit articles on my site, because of searches on the topic, yet I've never had a comment or response to it, so maybe not worth the time to read... ![]()

Grampa Jimbo: "With the Jesuit Francis, it appears that reports of the death of Liberation Theology were exaggerated."
My theory is that Benedict had prophecies talking about what's going to happen to the Pope, so he got this other, expendable fellow to play "Pope" for him during the time of danger. Better than having Joe as VP!

Still they stare.
