Oh, Maaaan! Radio Shack is going to sell my personal information from when I bought my first computer from them in New Mexico in 1978! Dang! Hope nobody ever finds out what I paid for that Daisy Wheel printer!

Did this get mentioned around here?
Exhuming Pearl Harbor Dead?
William Cole, Military.com
The Pentagon is considering ordering the exhumation of nearly 400 sailors and Marines who died on the battleship USS Oklahoma on Dec. 7, 1941, and were buried as "unknowns" at Punchbowl cemetery, so they can be identified and returned to families.
Those exhumations could be followed by the disinterment of unknowns killed on the battleships California and West Virginia, and other World War II losses, as the U.S. military tries to increase its annual identification of Americans missing from past wars
Morning, Glories!
Yesterday we had temps almost to 80°F. Then the rain, and north wind, and we dropped almost to the 30s.
And wind. One dead in Tulsa, many injured in twisters. One 'nader followed the path of the deadly Moore OK hit of deferral years ago. Seems to be a prime tornado path.
Spring has officially arrived.

Good evening. I've been busy. Been drinking. Not interested in your complaints. Wait...!
Here's my contribution to improved man-woman relationships tonight - not? (photo sfw no spiders):
I don't remember where I found this, but I don't think it was here.

Grunt: "That wasn’t cth, that was Grunt!"
Oops. Duh. Can I blame the glass of wine with dinner?
The cover works. Good rhyme.
I don't know what changed recently, but for about a week now, I no longer see the covers on this page. I have to go to the source code, pull out the link, and look at it on photobucket. Then it shows up okay on this page (cached).
Not your problem, likely. Has something to do with the old, no-longer-supported Opera12 brower, I'm sure, and I'll get it straightened out, but, frustrating.

Re: Recent Media Coverage for TAC
I only recently started keeping links again in my "Blog Heap o'Links" on my website ("the web's best-kept secret since 1996").
I only recently discovered TAC. But I have linked to several articles and I expect to continue to do so. Nice work. Keep it up.

cth: "I’ll probably have to write about that or at least go punch a hole in some innocent wall somewhere."
I had a feeling you might pick up on that one.
One dead in a trailer park (a/k/a 'nader bait), SW of Tulsa. Multiple injuries. Twister took same path as devastating Moore, OK, hit several years back, but not as bad. Mom in Tulsa and Son & DiL in OKC are ok.
I just like the way Cruz has started the Conversation off Right.
Did I already post this link here?
Ted Cruz's Resume at the Reaganite Republican
"Impressive. … Described as a 'superb' constitutional lawyer, the man's considerable skills and laser-like focus were on display for all when he took oily reptile Eric Holder by the neck and made him
answer the damn question. …"
By the way, Pete, following up on your "Bad Thing" after not being served any L or T on your BLT…
Milady Webworker brought home a couple of cheeseburgers for us, but she discovered they had no cheese. Found this out while sitting in the parking lot of the place. But, there's a long line back through the drive-thru, and parking and going in sort-of defeats the whole drive-thru convenience thing, so she just left. At least she was not charged for the cheeseburger. (And in fairness, the kids there are usually good; this was some still-new guy, whom she no doubt confused with a "special order.")
Daughter just got back from a couple of days in Kansas and she reports that, despite her specific request, there was no ketchup in the sack of her to-go order. Again, inconvenience overruled making a deal of it, as you did. But fast-food breakfast potato cakes without ketchup just before she hits the road was disappointing.
This poor service syndrome must be epidemic, possibly wide-spread!
Now comes a report of one Shaneka Monique Torres, who twice in one day did not get bacon on her McD's burger, as ordered. The second time, she "did a bad thing," too. And went to jail.
I can't help thinking, though, if this Dissatisfying Service Syndrome is widespread enough, a jury might just find in her favor.

[Tornadoes spotted on the ground down in Tulsa. She'll probably be fine, but a bit of prayer for my mom won't be unwelcome.]
Another winning collection, Pete. Always glad to see more pix of Tyler. (Really like that last picture.) Not so glad to see that boy in the first picture, or the MO and Hill pix!
Levi Johnston - Did not remember who this was. Until I got down a ways in the article, I was wondering, is this a celebrity or is this just a story about a pathetic loser? Both, as it turns out.
That sweater sure is ugly. And that basketball player sure is tall!
We're getting our first real Spring thunderstorms today. Glad it's in the 70s. This time of year, this could just as easily be ice. Anyway, we've had one brief wave, a pretty good gullywasher, with another heading our way. Possibly tornadoes, but more toward OKC than up our way. We can use the precipitation. We're not as drought-stricken here as further west, but it's been pretty dry. Lots of grassfires.
Drought, deluge, fire, lightning and thunder, whirlwinds, and wild temperature swings. Just another Spring day in the Land of the Red Man.
Here's a few links from the heap o' links for today.

Unforeseen problems with legalized marijuana market? Whooda thunkit?

Variable potency in buds means edible pot products' effects are unpredictable...
and
"...As THC levels climb, the levels of cannabidiol, or CBD, have been declining. That's problematic for medicinal marijuana users since it is more often associated with medical benefits than THC."
and
They've only begun testing for contaminants - "traces of butane... Bacteria and fungi...." [possibilities of] "E. coli or Salmonella...."
Meh. I remember spiderwebs in the pipe, gad that was awful. I also found a big piece of wood in a "health food" packaged pot (not that kind of pot) pie one time. Contamination happens; you try to minimize it.
It's treated like a smoke, like tobacco, on which health regs are low, but it's also sold as food & bev, yet it's not really being regulated and tested as such. (I guess chewin' tabaccy is sorta in that same category.)
One of the main arguments for legalization of drugs is so consumers can know what they're getting, at least as much as with any other product. Hard to believe, but not all black marketeers are quality-conscious. So, this is being sorted out; all to the good. There's probably already a "pot consumer's reports" website.
Who cares? Jus' pass me dat ol' spliff of Jamaican Red, Ziggy! (I saw some Red once, last millenium. It was red.)
Hey, looka that. Foist.
Gee, NNH, if I'd know you were trying, I'd've waited a second. Although it's been a while, I've been First before, a couple times; I can retire from the competition secure in my geekhood.
Now that we're deep in boob territory, is it too late in the thread for more news-type stuff?
"Aircraft and military manufacturer Boeing has been granted a patent on a system that is designed to prevent explosion shockwaves from harming a target.... not designed to prevent direct impact from shells or shrapnel; rather, it is designed to protect a target -- such as a vehicle or building -- from the damaging effects of shockwaves from a nearby impact."

Vic: "Well my link went straight to it."
Yeah, oddly, the picture didn't show up on WZ for me on the cell (does now on the same page, on the tablet). I actually had to make a second effort to see her silly face.
votermom: "Ben Carson is a neurosurgeon. He's probably familiar with psychopaths."
Yeah, maybe, but, Neurosurgery is hardware. Psychopathy is software. ![]()
I read, but can't now find, that a previous Airbus crew almost passed out during flight from "bad air," a malfunctioning fresh air system.
