Just thought I'd pass that along.

"The other 84% just haven't been noticed yet." Right.
Vic, was it easier today, having the morning thread up at 5am (God's time)?
Thanks, Vic. Good to know the nation is in good hands and everything's being run right. A ha ha Uh heh uh ugh.
"16% of released prisoners from GITMO go right back to engaging in terrorism."
What, the other 84% set up gift shops and opened restaurants? "Retired Terrorist Cafe." Wouldn't that actually be a pretty good rate of rehabilitation? As if.
angry feminist: "So the male patriarchy makes women's day only 23 hours long. The power that controls the very sun must be crushed."
First LOL of the day (but LO not too L as Milady sleeps nearby).
Somehow, as I hit Post on my last comment, I felt a change in the Force. Sure enough, morning thread! Thanks, Krakatoa.
Morning, Glories!
Computer says it's six o'clock
I know computer lies
Yesterday at six o'clock
Sun was about to rise

I want to be like a religious fanatic, go around saying, "It's not 1pm! Look at the sun! It's Noon. Wake up! You're beguiled! They get everybody to believe a lie! and behave as if it's the truth." But folks would just look at me like I'm the nutcase and they're all sane. As if I were telling them there's a Communist in the White House or something.
rickl: "Sounds like you're bucking for the post of the next chairman of the Federal Reserve."
Printing money from nothing, manufacturing daylight, it is about the same level of thinking, isn't it?
Benjamin Netanfranklin: "Personally, I like having more hours of daylight during the day."
I wanted a longer blanket, so I cut a foot off of one end and sewed it on the other. Not quite satisfied with the result, though.
Since saving one hour is such a good thing, here's a better proposal.
In April, we'll spring forward once again. And a month after that, again. By mid-summer, we'll have saved so much daylight. Then we pay it back by falling back in August, September, and October.
Or, even better, keep our daylight saving by never falling back. Just spring forward more every year.
Which all makes as much sense as the current system.

Did I mention I dislike DST?
The Original Henri! ©2006? Has it really been that long? Henri has gone on to become a star, and of course sold out his Henri ennui for Friskies endorsements. (Seriously, good for Will Braden; it's deserved acclaim.)
I just imagine this Twilight Zone scenario. [Rod Serling voice] Imagine if you will, a young transgender. He's been through the surgery. He's passing as female. Then, one day, at the gym, he's surrounded by beautiful, wet, naked women. Despite all the hormones and therapy, this deep, ancient urge is aroused. Except it isn't.
Kill Twilight Zone theme. Cue You Don't Know What You've Got Until You Lose It.
Oh, hi, Emergency Backup Open Thread [Y-not]. I thought you was daid.
It was hardly used, after all. Deserved a resurrection just for the kitty watching Tom & Jerry pic.
Random unemployed totally non-Islamist youths, for inexplicable motives, looted and then blew up the historical 600-year-old Virgin Mary Church in Tal Kaif, Iraq, "angering citizens who considered it to be the identity of their town and part of their heritage."
Weasel Zippers quoting Al Sofra
Five dead from machine-gun and grenade attack on a nightclub in Mali's capital, Bamako. The assailants, for no reason anyone can figure out, were shouting alleyoop snackbar. Two arrested "in connection."

"Happy newlyweds Joke, 29, Bell, 21 and Art, 26..."
An Art Bell joke?
Surely there have been many, many three-way "marriages" among all persuasions of people. What makes this news? Pushing the gaygenda or just slow news cycle? (Moar Woar!)
"a non-intimidating, welcoming environment"
Nothing "welcoming" about unwelcome behaviors.
Intimidation can be a good thing. Keeps people in line.
Morning, Glories!
Thanks for the links, Vic. Ooops. Force of habit.
