This has apparently been around for a year, but I hadn't seen it until today.

I have long argued for "freedom to marry," that the government doesn't have authority in the matter.

I was pondering devilishly advocating otherwise today, for reasons. Thought that might be interesting to discuss.
But I realized we'd be weaving around the clutter of the redundant, disruptive troll posts and those of his correspondents. Not worth it. Trolls take a toll.
Besides, I gotta feed the pets. BBL/lurk mode
VIA: "Who wants a fully operational TRS-Model 100 from Radio Shack?"
Ooo, I could set it on the shelf next to the other two! Collectively, I think my two could be called "fully operational." What doesn't work on one works on the other. Or so it was when last tried, maybe a decade ago.
My first online communications were on the M100, BBS and CompuServe. The tiny screen was marginally tolerable for communication in 300-baud days.
Speed aside, the interactive technology was as good as AoS-Pixy. ![]()
Louis Hu: "Who needs a TRS-80 running CP/M and Lotus 1-2-3?"
Not me. My TRS-80 Model I does fine on NewDOS and VisiCalc....

Thanks Vic. It didn't cause the morning thread, but did have an effect:
Skip the morning thread
going directly to doom today.
Doom up.
Vic: "Where's Andy?"
Waiting for you to start posting new on the ONT, like I always tell you. ![]()

Just before I turned here, I was reading Col. West’s concern about the decimation of the US military. A unicorn, you say?
The things I miss by not having a television!
Wait.
Never mind. I don't miss it at all.
cth: "…author did rewrite the article without noting that he had done so…"
Ew, that's not right. Did you get a screencap or save the page, then?
Reading your earlier message to them, I thought, wow, that's kind-of harsh. Could have given them the benefit of the doubt for just making a mistake. Not owning up honestly to error and criticism and post-facto edits, though? Let 'em have it.

Keeping a platypus, the problem is not the legality.
… … … It's the bill.

What new mystery bug afflicted Pixy tonight?
When Maet said, "this ONT will be teh Suck," who knew it would suck technically?
Content-wise, Maet's teh Suck ONT is still a treat.
Yawn ...Hello and good night, Gracies.
Congratulations to Pistol Pete & better half. To ever find a soul-mate is a miracle. Treasure eternally.
I had to look it up, and I see that the traditional 20th anniversary gift is platitude. So I send this:

Oh, wait a minute. Platinum? Ha ha. My mistake.
Color me confused.
cth: "The de Blasio quotation was used totally OUT OF CONTEXT."
Are you referring to the Pundit Press article I linked to? Checking it now, it opens with "Al Sharpton, the widow of Eric Garner and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio have all responded…" but there's no other mention of deBlasio in the article. I don't recall if it had anything different earlier. Was there something not there that was there before? (And no comments that my browser could see.) Or did you mean another article?
Wow. Gowdy is always admirable, but this was outstanding. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Pete.
Nice selection.
Milady Webworker's sister texted her today to wish her happy GH's bday. They saw the Beatles together "live," Chicago, 1964 (from about a half-mile up in the stands, as she tells it).
Wow! I found video of them at the concert!
JJ is here! JJ is here!
With that damn countdown. Can't you speed it up? Seems like months since we broke the "700 'til Inauguration" level.
Fun exercise: Think of 695 things Prez. Dumbo can do between now & then.
Sven, dead end of last thread: "Curses foiled again in my pursuit of the magic #"
Sven, let's you & me go add 33 comments on the ONT. I'll let you get in the last word.
Honest.
You go ahead. I'll catch up.
We're all Laniakeans!
"...Milky Way galaxy is part of a newly identified ginormous supercluster of galaxies, which they have dubbed 'Laniakea,' which means 'immense heaven' in Hawaiian.
"This discovery clarifies the boundaries of our galactic neighborhood and establishes previously unrecognized linkages among various galaxy clusters in the local Universe."

Well, if this place is gonna be run in this sloppy, unreliable manner... wait, has it ever been otherwise? "Part of the charm," like not being able to use Unicode.
Rats! I'm awake. Now I gotta get up.
