Sheesh! What it takes to get an answer around here: patience; it'll come around.

Sun is out somewhere, you say?
Brought to mind an old and familiar crooning, Mason Profitt or early Fleetwood Mac? "Somewhere the sun is shining / down my love /..." (something like that?) Don't have the music library t'hand, so...
So, I searched (what's the term for DuckDuckGo searched? I DuckDuckWent doesn't sound right)
So, I searched on lyrics "somewhere the sun is shining unquote.
Holy moly, there are a lot of songs with the line "somewhere the sun is shining"!
It's still overcast here; I can understand why it's a recurring theme. ![]()
When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained.
They called out in a loud voice, "How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?"
Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters, were killed just as they had been. -Rev 6:9-11

The call is coming from inside the phone!
Ah, now the snow is falling again, in a brisk shower. Little gray gal and little black gal went outside - female cats: hardy, crazy, or both? Dog went out, sniffed, came back in immediately. Charlie the yellow fuzzy cat stood at the door and sniffed, put one paw tentatively across the threshold, but when I nudged his butt to go out, he meowed and turned back inside. Smart.
The old gray cat, who was out last night until late, snoozes right through the morning, happy to be inside and warm.
This has been the domestic livestock morning report.
There is a layer of white stuff over everything outside. Barely, but there it is. And it's 19° feels like 10, says here. So, when we get up to freezing later today, it'll seem balmy.
I might feel more miserable about the cold and snow, but when I read about all you folks back east and north, I realize how great I've got it. ![]()
Morning, Glories! I'm in. Let's do this.
Thanks for the morning jolt, Vic. Next best thing to coffee.

Just passing through before closing my eyes for the night.
Here in NE Oklahoma, we've got moderate bit of snow falling. And thunder. Sure. Why not? It's Spring in Oklahoma.
And, yay, I'm not in the top tens again.
Kudos, or something, to Allen G.
Snowthunderstorms. Whee!
Morning, Glories! Thanks for the links, Vic.
"States need to pass laws that allow home owners to shoot these things down if they are flying low over their property."
Already proposed in Oklahoma.

Let's see… ignoring administrative fees, taxes take half, we'll say, and she was 1/3 winner, so of my $2 gamble, she got about 33¢ from me.
Glad to help. :D
This fellow's penis condition, despite what might seem at first ripe for humor, is no joking matter. I've never heard of anything like this. Both he and the woman who needed vaginal reconstruction are fortunate indeed to live in times when surgeons can perform such miracles! Hope they both have happy, normal-ish lives.
Looks like time for the crowd to mooove on to more specific conversations. And time for this webworker to mooove on to other activities. Have a day, y'all.
Mindful Webworker,
I'm glad you escaped Chicago & your kids are grateful.
Carol: "Mindful Webworker, Where did you move from?"
Ah, twenty-one years ago this Spring, we moved out of Chicago after living there for fifteen years. It was Milady's home town (W Side), her mom and several of her siblings still lived there. We had lots of her family around a lot of the time, lots of cousins for our kids. This native smallville Okie had lots of "ins" to know how to live well in the Big Potato. It was a good and comfortable life, luxurious even. For big city living.
When we had a shot at moving us & the kids to semi-rural smallville, we cut off a couple of limbs and left city luxuries behind. It's been harsh, and hard, in a lot of ways, failed at everything I set out to do after the move, and we may never have a stable or comfortable life again, but on the whole I thank God we were able to get away when we did.
And our kids, now well-informed adults who can look back at Chicago as it is, have thanked us for having moved, so I guess it worked all right.
Since you asked. ![]()
Carol, if Texas seems too hot and dry, you might check out "Green Country " of NE Oklahoma. You could be happy somewhere around Tulsa (East, maybe a little North of). Such drought as we get has never left my mom's azeleas burned.
After the police raid.... no dogs killed....

The Benson's want to thank their neighbors for being so alert and notifying the police.
"I think my neighbors on their way to church see the buckets and stuff and think we've got a meth lab operation going on here. I just want to put their minds at ease, and let them know it's maple syrup. And that they're all welcome for pancakes if they want to come on over."
The Benson's have been making their own maple syrup for the past five years. This was the first time they've been mistaken for a meth lab.

I'm not so sure I'd be thanking my neighbors.

Morning, Glories! Hope y'all have a good weekend.
Vic: "Utah looks like it is moving back to the firing squad after do-gooders make lethal injection difficult. Of course they don't like the firing squad either. They go all the way back to the 1800s to find a case where one was botched. http://tinyurl.com/lptnv6f"
Oklahoma is looking at the gas chamber again, after a couple of "troubling" injection executions.
All these fancy-schmancy means, the chair, gas, injections, came about because hangin' or shootin' was deemed cruel and unusual, yet each "improvement" just seems crueler and more unusual.
Vic: "Studies have shown that in States where the death penalty is used promptly the murder rate does go down."
The best deterrent effect of punishment, parents or the State, comes from its being (1) swift and (2) sure. Not having those is cruel and unusual for society.
(How did I get on this soapbox? Barkeep! Coffee! Black! Quickly!)
