Pete: "I had some lighthearted and offbeat news to post today, but…."

Looking forward to that, nonetheless; couldn't we all use a good weekend Pete's post? Not that the World will let up for the weekend, but we can pretend for a post's worth.

Sometimes it would be nice to be able to look back through a list of past post titles. Sites with archives usually have those grouped by month. Can PoliNation have an archive page? The root cellar where all the old posts are preserved? Preserved… preserves… get it? @@ Oh, well.

Mrs. Ida Lowry: "Sorry, I'm new to posting here. I'll try and keep up. :-)"

Heh. More than once I've wandered into a thread, and right after I comment I see complaints about The Troll. The who, me? feeling is a funny one. Especially for those of us who are vaguely paranoid anyway.

I was glad for your Art. V question. oh, and the Locke quote was yours, too, I see. Thanks.

AllenG: decided to share my response on that blog I don't have.

Funny thing: Before I even read your message, I was scrolling the touchscreen and must've tap-stuttered on your handle, because suddenly I was at a blog. But, I recovered and came right back

Kate Upton: "I think social media and the Internet has prevented me from putting myself out there like that."

Not to be mean-spirited, but she isn't popular for her elevated intelligence and wise insight, that I'm aware.

She wants us to notice her backside, though.

Hi.

Took my sweet time tuning in today - turns out, it can be a nice morning even without checking the morning thread immediately. Sat with the old gray cat on the front porch and watched the sunrise turn the sky all red, white, and blue.

*

Thought which drove me to my feet this morning came to me sort-of out of the blue: that American languishing in a Mexican prison for taking a wrong turn. The thought occurred to me, since we have no President, could the fellow's state governor ask Mexico for mercy? (For all I know that's been done.)

Infuriating Fed we got here!

Morning, Glories!

Indeed, I can understand why you wouldn't want to embed it. I should have put more of a warning on it, perhaps. :) Certainly is a statement of the world-wide respect President Flexible-After-the-Election has earned. What a blight upon our nation.

Surprised you didn't post about the Russian laser light show on the side of the American embassy in Moscow, "celebrating" our President's birthday.

There is some debate whether it's a racial or homosexual reference. Mrs suggested, could be both.
