Here's a stomach-twisting documentary about cartel assassin Rosario Rota (actually American) - first kill at 13. No humanity at all. All lust, no redeeming qualities.

He may be "worst case" example, but... multiply by tens of thousands. In our country. Now.

The Caliphate that runs DC is delighted.

restored a 1969 F-100 pickup truck

That is so cool.

A pre-electronics manual-trans pickup has been on my wish list for a long time. Basic vehicle, just add oil and fuel. Sure hope the kid appreciates it!

1. Tediously highlight link in comment.
2. Select text and copy.
3. Open new tab.
4. Click-hold on address bar.
5. Hit copy by mistake instead of paste.
6. Go to step 1.

Oh, looky! A French spam comment leaked through the filters on one of my webpages. At least I presume it's spam. Without online-translating or Ace nearby, let me apply my high school Latin and Spanish decoder ring...

Vous pu liez sans cesse des articles fascinants

You.. something... without ceasing... fascinating articles... yup, that looks like spam.

Bon jour. You have made a good point. I am bookmarking zis website. Will there be a part deux? Industrial strength lace wigs pipe fittings. Voila!

Why, yes, I did just drop a good morning story on the last thread. Perfect-ish timing.

Storms broke loudly at 5am. Got up to let in and dry off the cat who refused to come in last night. The dog demanded constant reassuring petting. So, going back to bed quickly became a non-option.

Then everybody demanded feeding, even though it was hours early. (Everybody but nervous tummy doggy.) Including Miss Fussy the Guest kitty, who has hardly moved from my desk in days, and in the night had thrown up on it. And her little temporary cardboard litterbox was a disaster.

But the storms are moving off, everybody is settled down, everything is cleaned up, and I have coffee. Ahh. But, talk about hitting the ground running first thing in the morning...!

Hi!

Straw men are my favorite kind.

Men with no values are my acolytes.

My agents hold the government.

Who can withstand my armies of idiots?

Lucifer Lightbringer, Super Genius. I like the sound of that!

Ah, time for me to lead the midnight-Eastern slowdown. Must relocate myself, deal with the end of the day, and probably hit the sack rather than lurk on.

I got actual comments on my latest yoo-toob 40-sec video, Obama Blames Fall of Iraq on Video
http://youtu.be/7Mn_clfZkW0
and one comment appears to be a cousin of Dorcas Blumline. "Obama shows great leadership not getting involved in issues that are not vital to our nation...." Heh.

I'd use Ixquick for most searches, but Google has no match on image searches, often is the best on video searches, and worst of all, YouTube is Google. Also they're all up in my phone. Google are evil, but divorcing from them is going to be a task.

For tomorrow.

Good night, Gracies.

I gather we had BBQ troll?

When messages get removed, instead of renumbering every subsequent comment, the blog should just have something symbolic of a smoking crater at that message number.

Done in Pixy-passing ASCII of course. Something like

I've dropped this in the e-suggestion box, and the automatic reply said this would absolutely certainly be implemented, and in only #twoweeks!

Thanks for fine Friday collection, Pete.

By the way, oh Garden friends…

EYAAAHHHHGGG!

First of all, :( I’m home alone for Dad’s Day Weekend. Mrs & local kids are in the Big Potato for the weekend for a family reunion. I get to be home with the dog and cats.

So after many days of “dry spell,” I finally make a little 40-second video just for fun, a little idea I got this morning.

Obama Blames Fall of Iraq on Video

That links to YouTube. Here’s the video on my website.

(Not embedding, feel free to change to embed or use it elsewhere, as ever, but read on first…)

Usually, I get a few nibbles after I post a video, after I tell folks here or on Ace. Every once in a very long while I get a like or dislike. So, except for that one time I had a video embedded at Moonbattery, my “customers” on YouTube are apparently jus’ friends, mos’ly, so t’speak.

I’ve always been concerned about what might go viral. Never been a threat yet, though, as my YT channel is as untraveled as my website.

This video, before I even finished the details on the upload, this thing had 20 hits, I received a “Google+ Notification” (I didn’t even know I could get those) from someone scolding me about how smart Obama is on Iraq, and one each Like and Dislike.

What have I done? Enough needling jabs, I eventually, finally hit a vein? Because of the Dislike, I quickly appended “(Parody!)” to the title, for honesty’s sake. Maybe that will stave off some firestorm…
@@ Virtual prayers may be needed.

Oh, look, a doggie video. Oboy.

btw, my new 40-sec vid garnered me a scolding from someone humor-impaired about what a great job TFG did on Iraq.

... and worms and silverfish and...

oh... um... hi...

[grinding of gears]

I guess picking here & now would be out of bounds?

I might wish to live in the settled, peaceful 1940s-'50s, right here where I grew up, the height of human civilization thus far. Liberty, opportunity, family, faith.

Or a hundred years ago when my great-grandpa was starting the cement plant here at the beginning of the oil boom: wild west meets industrial revolution.

But if I took with me knowledge of what was coming... then I believe I'd rather just be in the action-packed threat-laden Interesting Times of here & now.

As my 92yo mother likes to say, I just want to see what comes next!

Forgot to mention beaver, muskrat and otters on the Mississippi. Also, every species of bird known to man, with bald eagles by the score.

Still, I'm thinking of moving in with mindful wildernessworker.

I forgot our most numerous large bird, turkey vultures!

Also, others remind me, oppossums and armadillos.

Oh, and kittehs! There was a mountain lion reported in the area last year. Not long ago, the neighbor's granddaughter got some great shots of a local bobcat family. We have also a couple of feral cats, but they seem to have a high turnover in the wild.

Lizards, frogs, toads, mud turtles, box turtles... the grasshopper, katydid, cricket...
