» WSBT reports that McCurren was arrested and charged with burglary, vandalism, and underage drinking. WBND notes he told police he had also been smoking synthetic marijuana.

Stay away from the synthetics, son. Messes with your drunk.

I have written an NOT posted two random long comments this morning. You're welcome. So I'm giving myself one:

Milady Webworker likes to shop at the once/week thrift store. Usually brings home musty old books (© 1899 on one she bought this week) and high-quality name brand clothing priced at a quarter.

She brought home multiple PC towers yesterday. The most expensive was $40. Apparently, some folks take the end of MS XP support as cause to throw out the boxes.

Wonder what we'll do with 'em!

» President Barack Obama compared the Republican budget plan unveiled by Rep. Paul Ryan this week to a "stinkburger" and a "meanwich" during a speech Wednesday afternoon in Michigan.

Have I mentioned today how much I detest the miserable fop? What an eloquent statesman!

But, aren't his pants creases crisp!

» On Wednesday April 2, NBC's "Today" which usually airs clips from their late night comedy shows or from "Saturday Night Live" did not air footage of Fallon's ObamaCare criticism.

Too much important news that morning; just didn't have time. Nothing to do with the content. Nothing.

The principal chief of the Cherokee Nation says the 175th anniversary of the end of the Trail of Tears is a cause for celebration. Several thousand Cherokee Indians died as they were forced from their homelands in the southeast into Indian Territory, beginning in 1838. Monday marks the anniversary of the arrival of the final group to present-day Oklahoma. Chief Bill John Baker says tribal members feel a sense of pride from the Trail of Tears. He says that, despite the trials and tribulations, Cherokee ancestors survived and the tribe has thrived.

Kinda like the Jews who ended up in America because of the Holocaust. If it hadn't been for the Trail of Tears, the modern Cherokees would've been stuck down South, instead of in glorious Oklahoma.

Good and hardy people, the Cherokees. ((Is that rayciss? Oh my!!))

There's a double line of trees goes across our lands. My brother tells me that used to be one the Trail of Tears terminus.. terminuses.. termini... their road went through there.

Hey! Milady & I are just getting through the 5th & I guess final season, after stopping for a long time just before the end of the 4th season. Just got done with random fireball episode. Carter nearly gets blown up again.

Sticking with a series is hard enough, coming back to one is weird. Life is shit, for one thing...

Other series I never finished
B5 final season
NextGen last season
70s show final season
Smallville final season
I believe there may be a pattern in there somewhere.

Might actually get back to firefly.
Saw all of Farscape... eventually.

» I am against all promiscuous lifestyles, whatever genders are involved.... -votermom

That's the big secret. shhh.

There's nothing really particularly wrong with promiscuity per se, the natural inclination of the human monkey.

Other than threat to health, emotional injury, spiritual debilitation, deleterious long-term effects on subsequent generations, and the undermining of home and family, the basic foundation of civilization and humanity's only hope of advance.

I did not understand this when younger (and, alas, still when older). I "questioned authority." My experience was: valid authority has a way of wising one up. Eventually. At a cost.
