Missed the word "jail" on first reading. For a moment, I had hope this was about new deputies for law and immigration enforcement. Too bad.

But good for Shr. Joe's "prisoner disparity!"

"Does the federal government have the authority to tell us what to eat? Well, they didn't have the authority to tell us what kind of light bulbs to use either but they did" —Vic

I spent decades saying prohibition and other invasive regulations were unConstitutional, but heard "conservatives" insist we needed the government's protection.War on drugs. War on crime. What did we get? Militarized police and an expanding war on liberty.

Surprise! The whole camel's in the tent.

Milady told me she heard this on Mark Levin at 6, then we caught it on repeat driving home.

Who's the chairman of the Chinese Communist Party, Levin asks the LIV caller.

I think it's Mao, comes the reply.

Well, says Levin, Mao died three or for decades ago, but go on...

mmmmmm

Just a drive-by for me tonight.

Good night, Gracies.

Working on that this weekend made me kind of sad. Not about the old house, but working on the new one, you can tell someone loved it once- and then something happened and no one loved it for years.... —AllenG

The farmhouses, businesses, and homes I see, everywhere I go now, are always sad, when you can see once they were someone's proud family homestead or enterprise. Ghosts of a better age, scores of broken dreams, shattered culture, scattered clans.

Heh. Where I live was abandoned for a quarter-century, the house generously valued at $0 when we moved in,.. hm.. 20 years ago this coming Monday. Concrete home built by my grandfather in two stages. Grandmother loved this place I think when it was in its prime, with a big garden, chickens, horses, us young grandkids. Almost all traces of that era are gone, rotted or rifled through by relatives.

At least tearing into the place taught me fascinating things about how it was constructed. And there are mysteries out in the yard I still haven't solved.

Think I'll go take a walk...

"The penalties have to be baked in (IE, refusal to abide by this Constitution is an act of Treason, etc. etc.)"

So, you mean, like, if some actress went to a country with whom we were at war, and let herself be photographed sitting at an enemy anti-aircraft gun and the like, giving aid and comfort to the enemy, that would be considered punishably treasonous? Too bad we don't already have that!

You would think if there's one the size of Texas, there should be many many pictures of miles and miles of debris. - BurtTC

It actually floats slightly below the surface. You could be right on top of it in a boat and not be aware of it. Just a Sargasso of plaetary dtritus. Now with extra Japanese culture!

I think of it as strategic material reserves. We'll be mining it, eventually, for profit.

More police thugism

Why, I wonders, does my cell get a blank at Daily Caller? Looks like maybe an ad or sign-in overlay, but no way around it. Oh well, cop thugs, details vary, story remains the same.

Morning, Glories. May you bamboozle the devil at every turn today.

I arrive. But, I bring nothing.

So, virtually, I am nothing.

Were I infinite times as much, I would still be nothing.

Then, I shall depart, nothing accomplished.

Did I say nothing? I meant NOTING. Inveterate note-taker. Er.. I mean, Noshing... darned spellcheeker.

Butt seriously, I am not in either top 10 list. Another "lottery" I'm glad I didn't win. Yay 4 me & the variable IP.

With that, I guess, I have to say,
love is love and not fade away.

not fade away

Three dimensional Chinese Checkers.
Posted by: Bruce

(( mind boggles )) I wanna play.

No childhood game seemed more boring to me than Chinese Checkers. Well, maybe Stop'n'Shop with my girl cousins, but anyway...

Oldest brother several years back taught me the rule of what he called "Chinese Chinese Checkers." Simply put (if I can), a jump may contain an equal number of empty spaces on either side of the jumped marble.

Literal game changer.

I've written Chinese Checkers for play on a PC. (Lots of fun math in moving along triangles.) And I've written a game that's played in four dimensions (on a 4x4x4x4 game board). Now, before I leave this world, I must create three- (at least) dimensional Chinese Checkers.

I don't really so much dig the long lonely nights of programming that much anymore. if someone else wants to write it, I just want to play it.

I used to think, for all the wind and heat, at least Oklahoma is on solid continental bedrock.

Now I know, that's where the quakes do the worst damage (think: Madrid).

And now the home state is becoming a fracking trampoline!
