When I said state attorney generals didn't have to follow the law, I didn't mean they could start enforcing immigration and ignoring Obamacare enforcement.
Why do rayciss right wing hatemongers always twist everything?

Pink Elephants on Parade forever changed my outlook on life.
Acid turned out to be a disappointment by comparison.

Daily Caller links just give me a big, endless circling the drain icon on my stupid,various cell browser.
Click #2, clicker's regret #2. I think I'll just go back to bed now.
"Uh oh! Guess what day it is."
With trepidation, I click blindly because I have no hover text nor url reveal on this stupid, stupid cell browser. (Obviously, I needed coffee.)
The moment I see YouTube in the addr bar, though, I close the tab. No, thanks, whatever it is. Just... no. Not ready for viddie.
Clicker's remorse, first thing I do online. What a way to start the day. :/

Morning, Glories! I pray your day goes well and you are warmly enduring the latest Volar Portex assault.
yeah, I hate being an idiot. I aspire to moron.
Now the virtual keyboard is playing hide & go seek. I may not make it to the morning thread. But since it's working at the moment....

I have my my Serious Questions about group prayer, public prayer, remote prayer, even effectiveness of prayer at all beyond internal adjustment and "placebo effect." Somewhat obliquely, maybe, I relate it to Jesus telling that poor old woman, trying to touch the hem of his garment is not actually what works. What does work, faith, I feel so mustard seedless. But sometimes y' just gotta let go of all the questions and rules.... so...
Please spare a prayer for the strengthening in body and spirit of MJ, whose longstanding disorder has flared up, again.
Might also be in its letting go stage, this time, fighting the latest remedy. But, she's been down that dead-end of false hope so often! More than two decades of prayer, doctors, medicines, treatments, seeming recession, repeated disappointing recurrance, and sometimes that which is worse than mere ill health, despair.
God's will, God's will, not mine be done... but, Jesus, if it is not against our Father's will, give at last one healing tear of divine mercy for your wonderful, enduring, deserving daughter.
Gremlins in the cell with me this morning.
My first Presidential vote went to the Libertarians. I wanted to encourage them, was confident Nixon had my state wrapped up anyway, and couldn't bring myself to vote for him but I sure wasn't going to vote for the Dem.
It's been many years since the LP or any 3rd party (except the Clinton spoiler) was on my state ballot. The requirements are, I think, about as high as any state.
It's understandable that some cutoff must exist so we don't have a mile-long ballot full of every kook who could file for candidacy.
It's also understandable that people organize into like-minded groups to field candidates for office.
But because government prints the ballots, and decides how one gets on those ballots, it's not hard for established parties to restrict 3rd-party access to the ballot.
Result, effective one-party rule pretending to be competing parties.

Goodness, what a burst of words! Must have been the coffee hitting my system. Nood up?
hm. varying net connection this morning. if I suddenly vanish, it probably wasn't alien abduction.
Hi, Man w/o. Would you join a party that would have you?
Four thirty. My brain thinks it's time to get up. Yesterday it was 5. Why, brain, why? Then, cat Charlie decides to prowl around the house meyowling at top volume, so I get up to let him and other cats outside. Then some wacko bird starts singing loudly outside the window.
Nothing else to do but make coffee and sit here in the dark with my virtual friends and swap lies.

Several Harold Ramis SCTV videos are linked in my sock. -andycanuck
Thanks. I haven't searched 'em out for a while, but last time I looked, there were just scattered bits of the original series around.
If the collected complete original SCTV ever got released, I'd... look for it again.

My Theological tl;dr tl;tl Contribution for today.
A seemingly deterministic material universe develops life.
Life grows a brain, walks around in organized animal units.
Animal mind develops until there is personality, defined by self-and-other identification, the capacity to recognize the implicit morality of a universe of fellow personalities.
Personality has the capacity for both the most transcendent personal idealism and the greatest interpersonal love. Combining these qualities, people project Deity, omniscient, omnipotent, and so incomprehensibly all-encompassing that...
despite the Creator's uniqueness, Godhood can also, through Trinitization, know fellowship on the highest order;
despite the Creator's eternal, unchanging perfection, there is room inside infinity even for raising up imperfect, fallible, but ultimately salvageable children out of the dirt of a partial, evolutionary reality;
despite the Creator's infinitude, and God only knows how many sentient fellow in Creation, God loves you, personally, and guides you, yes you, as a good human father loves and guides each unique child;
that you can know forgiveness for failure, error, and willful transgression, as you would a child chastened by a wise parent;
and in Great Mercy that love would see to it that the death of the flesh is just a transition, a step closer to our divine family and destiny.
With thinkers made of meat and static, we can conceive of and understand and appreciate all that.
The universe could turn out to be dead and all those ideals just aberrant electricity.
But if you were handed a manuscript that had that ending, don't you think you'd circular-file it?

Sherry, I feel for you. IIRC, I've mentioned before, Milady Webworker suffered migraines from around puberty up to a relatively few years ago. They were so bad I swear sometimes I could feel them. They ended, completely and immediately, after she had an upper cervical adjustment from Dr Brooks, whom I believe I've recommended to you before. There are many other possible causes, of course, but I still thank God for her relief from that.
I've been meaning to email you for weeks. I'll follow up that way when I get to the desktop, if I can remember to get a round tuit — sometimes when I sit down at the All Purpose Calculating Machine, with too much to do, I get attention surfeit disordered.
God bless you, Sherry McGoodness.
