If a moron read the first 200 comments at 10:43pm, and reloaded the page to find there were now 268 at 11:08pm, how long will Thamsanqa Jantjie be shooting fish in a barrel full of monkeys?

"...sounding out donors about Romney running again..."

NOOOOO!

I should've sent him that letter saying how glad I was for him & his family that he lost, same as with Palin. Like they don't still get flack enough as private citizens!

"President Obama and his fellow Democrats are either idiots or deliberately trying to destroy their own economy." Vlad "The Impaler" Putin

More proof we've slipped into an alternate universe.

Mindful, you should be able to hold down the link and it will tell you what it is. Works on my Android phone and Kindle Fire.

Not with Opera mini, which I use because reasons. One of a few complaints. I should check out others I guess.

Reassure me that it's normal for teenage brothers to argue -Thunderb

My experience, as a sib & as a Dad: if siblings don't quarrel, something's wrong. More specifically, if they reconcile swiftly while you're still donning battle gear, everything's normal. If arguments endure longer than three hours, consult your doctor. So to speak.

Not applicable to all families, of course.

Just all the families I know.

THE BIPOLAR VORTEX

I've really been trying to come up with some way to use that, but I just haven't found the right hook to Anthropogenic Climate Chaos running hot & cold.

Anyway, Canada moved off and some Louisiana-Texas has blown in. Men and pets can once again comfortably go outside for relief. The easing on the litter box is already significant.

Summer: step out, unzip. hike down the unders & go. (Secret: no man ever used the port on tidy whities more than once)

Winter: Wait for the opposite sex to get out of the bathroom, lift the seat, dismantle multiple layers to find the working parts.... what a hassle.

I remember as a yoot, thinking, as I watched Sgt Bilko & the boys pulling some con: I wonder if I'm supposed to be watching this? So, naturally, I enjoyed it.

This Seems Like A Bad Choice

Not a fan of blind teaser links when I'm on the cell: no hover text to tell me the link destination, no URL to possibly hint at the contents.

Even more aggrevating when the page comes up blank for me!

I blame the programmers.

Linda Lovelace (would have been 65 today - RIP)

I'm old enough and shameless enough now to admit, I saw her on the big screen... with the Mrs!

For all that may be wrong with porn per se, the industry generally, and Lovelace's life in particular... her performance was... inspiring... educational! and she was apparently a good "actress" as far as seeming to enjoy her role.

Nowadays, of course, we know that kind of act is wrong, but this was before we had Va. politicians to raise our moral standards.

Deep Throat was actually light-hearted and funny with a touch of SF premise. Sort of tongue in cheek, you might say. You might say; I wouldn't.

Interesting article in pj media about why the new youth are embracing communism.

Would I be far off if I guessed the reason was the same as why old youth embraced Communism... cognitive incompetence?

Teen in Pakistan sacrifices life to stop a suicide bomber.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-25663992
Posted by: Anna Puma

Good morning. I thought this worth emphasizing:

"So he told them 'I'm going to stop him. He is going to school to kill my friends'. He wanted to capture this suicide bomber. He wanted to stop [him]. Meanwhile the suicide bomber blasted himself which resulted in the death of my cousin," Mr Bangish said.

He described Aitzaz as "brave" and a good student. "He always used to say 'I am always ready for my country'."

His family insist that rather than focus on the sorrow brought about by his death, they want to focus on their pride in his actions.

"He is a shahid [martyr]. A shahid of his whole nation," he said.

Coconut oil, y'all were saying (or not)?

Unlike regular oils, or butter, won't stain clothing... or sheets. Dries out or wipes off easily, too, so you're not stuck with greasy... parts.

Unlike the water-based lubricants (don't know how anyone can stand 'em), coconut oil doesn't dry out or get sticky.

Even though it's solid below 73°F, it warms to liquid quickly and easily in your, eh, palms.

And, um, it doesn't taste bad, if it comes down to it (SWIDT?), since in fact it can be used like butter or oil in cooking.

And this is what makes it so excellent for massage, and for dry skin, and for, you know, what have you.
