Drunk caught by police
Calls friend for ride
Friend is drunk, arrested.
Calls another friend for ride....

Idiot enviros get stuck in ice
Call icebreaker for help
Icebreaker gets stuck
Call another icebreaker...

Watch for more of this pattern.

"...when was the last time Tina Brown shoveled anything?" -NC Ref

Low hanging fruit. I presume it's been hit.

Hey, I know "math is harrrd" for morons, but I can still idly wonder, if you add up all the ergs saved by pigtail lightbulbs over Edisons, how would it compare to the ergs expended in just this one Antarctic gum-up?

Perspiring minds want to know.

RINOs - voicing economic conservatism in election years only

DINOs - espousing social liberty in narratively helpful instances only

LINOs - arguing for economic and social liberty on select issues only

Americans - now outnumbered in our own country.

"Time travelers are REALLY good at hiding!" -Seamums Muldoon

That sounds too much like work.

When you find evidence of time travel, we just go back and remove it, duh.

Been thinking how, right across the state border (albeit the other side of the state from me), pot is legal. Here, it's serious crime.

Reminds me of college days in southern Wisconsin. I was a legal drinker at 18. Or, I could walk a few blocks, put one foot in Illinois, and be a criminal... possibly, depending on which hand the drink was in.

Unfortunately, the 'good' pizza place was across the line, but, fortunately, nobody carded the college crowd.

Guess I'll quit loafing around the HQ and go pretend I have a life. G'day, folks!

"My main concern with legalized weed is the same as it always has been: who pays?"

Socialism is a tangled web that must be repealed utterly. With no Welfare state, no minimum wage, and other changes, worker immigrants are not a big problem. Socialized med = The State owns your body. So, yeah, liberty which includes the right to risky behavior must include full personal responsibility.

So, beware not to argue against potential liberty with extant socialism. It's all of a piece.

I've waited years for repeal of beer prohibition. There is no justification for such Puritanical nannying. If your behavior shows you can't handle beer, your behavior crosses criminal lines, you are directly responsible, not some other beer drinker.

It has always baffled me that conservatives practically celebrate marijuana use, woven deeply into their culture, despite its proven deleterious effects, yet stand with such 'moral' authoritarian opposition to a soft drug like beer.

Furthermore, where beer is, gradually, finally, being legalized for adult manufacture, sale, and consumption, we still see the Nanny authoritarianism in regulations and taxes, suggesting we may have beer by the State's permission, rather than by God-given liberty.

I'll bet in all the multiverses, there is some parallel world where conservative principles consistently recognize that government has no business in such personal behavioral taboo enforcement. Even for beer.

HBD J.R.R. Tolkien!

"In a hole in the ground, there lived a Hobbit...."

And from there, the rod leads to grand adventure.

Be nice if someday someone made movies adapting Tolkien. Bet they could do. great job nowadays, technically... if they stuck to the story.

I appreciate your consideration. You do get one free TL pass a day, though, I deem, as the Bringer of Hymn History.

It's like the chaplain coming in to the locker room to say a prayer before the game. All the kids get sincere and reverent for a little bit... then go back to telling dirty jokes.

Whew! Spellchecker tried to put Deity for dirty; that would just not have worked!

Must be the inter-state commerce clause. Isn't Morocco one of the 57 states?

One of our cats just learned how to sit on the edge of the art table, on the cross part of the T-square, so the long part went up and slapped back down. Repeatedly.

They are so clever, so ingenious! (Now. go outside, ya little noisemaker... your mistress is asnooze!)

Mindful,
Walkie talkies with the best friend next door late at night, only to find out dad was listening on that new-fangled cordless phone downstairs.
-shredded chi

That's funny. After my time funny. But funny. Mrs & me did pick up some cordless conversations on our baby monitor. Early tech. And your story sorta reminds me of my older brother whispering crazy long adventure stories and we giggled maniacally until Dad banged on the wall and screamed "go to sleep!"

Dad was a gadget freak. CB in the T-bird. 16mm camera with stop action was my delight to play with (all the cartoons long lost, alas). I remember when Dad installed a sound system with a turntable that had, get this, two speakers... they played separately!

How about little wax bottles of sugar water?
Posted by: Mike Hammer

And Yes. Wife says the local dime store in her neighborhood had those little "pop bottles" and the same stuff in tubes. Outside their door, spread both directions on the sidewalk for quite a ways, was a coat of wax -- black, because it got walked on and dirty.

I gave up reading at 400 when I realized how many more there were to go. Still having Nostalgia Fest?

Under the covers at night, with the leatherette-cased transistor radio, monophonic earplug, and on a good night I could pick up Chicago, which was far, far away in more than distance from my world.

I don't want to one-up anybody, but when I was very young, we already had voice-activated dialing. I picked up the receiver, the Operator said, "Number, please?" and I squeaked out my friend's three-digit number. High tech. Beat that.

Boy, Ace sure could write back then....

So, good evening, honored morons. Let me go take a closer look at Maet's post and some comments, and then I'll get distracted, wander off, and be back in the morning be right back, 'cause I know alla y'all care.

My webpage on Jesus’ appearance, originally posted as a comment of mine on here, has garnered a huge spike in hits, relative to my usually-undiscovered pages. From what little I understand about my site statistics, mostly these hits are folks coming to me from search engines, rather than linked from anyplace in particular. I don’t have comments on very many of my webpages, and get no emails, so I don’t know who these folks are, or why they’re coming to my hidden little site, with all the choices available on this subject, but I deem the subject is of significant interest!

My webpage already links back to my original PoliNationcomment, but today, I’ve also linked prominently to this article. FYI.
