As an owner of multiple cats, I have to ask, why would you buy yarn with so much 'wool' readily available for harvest all over every piece of furniture? I guess you'd have to dye for colors cats don't come in. (Pretend I undangled that participle.)

But I don't knit. Maybe I'm thinking of felting.

Amen! And Texas, you keep separating Okla from Mexico, and we'll keep you from touching Colorado. Deal?

"heavy adolescent pot smoking will increase schizophrenia by middle age..."
- Ribald Conservative riding Orca

Just about any elements introduced during adolescence will have long-term effects. Not a great age to do drugs or booze.

Anyway, clearly, only those over 60 should be allowed to smoke pot. Medicinally, of course. And just as soon as Oklahoma legalizes, Imma gonna plant some. It's pretty and makes a good bug-repelling garden border crop, so I've read. Also, rope.

"... as soon as Oklahoma legalizes..." I crack myself up. This state didn't permit liquor by the drink until the ... 80s or 90s.

What if the guy whose window you broke comes out and beats the shit out of you?

Really, our family celebrates Christmas the twelve days, not Halloween to Dec 26. Just to annoy folks.

What we all don't like to recall is, the beautiful Christmas nativity story ended badly. From his very birth, as he said later, his coming meant, not peace, but the sword.

Matt 2:16
Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

HerodCare, an early model for modern tyrants.

The DNC is sending urgent requests to donors for money to prevent evil Republicans from impeaching Obama[

Impeach Obama? What an idea! Why didn't the Republicans think of that!??

'Ette, in training but the bar is too damn high! - congratulations! You da 1.

Before this year is over, there's something I'd like to say, for Auld Tymes' sake.

BARACK OBAMA IS A STUTTERING CLUSTERFUCK OF A MISERABLE FAILURE!

Allen: Traitor, too. But I'll still argue he's failed where it matters.

Not absolutely certain, but it looks like it might be one of those folding paratrooper bikes made during WWII? Certainly the design is late '30's to mid '50's.

An entertaining ONT, CDR M. But I sort-of blanked out there between shinebox insurers and flower ammo. Sometimes that happens with whole comments, too. Huh.

Carol: I know I'm posting about stupid things like hanging up drapes, but I do not have the "homemaker gene" and haven't bought new curtains or drapes in almost five years.

There's photographic evidence that the pResident has that drape-hanging gene. Maybe you ought've asked him. Not like he's busy....

I'm entering inattentive / lurkish mode for the day.

Have a great weekend. Or at least survive it.
