You, me, the Mrs... 3 / 10 then. But I find the furor amusing.

When Cali goes bankrupt and needs money, make 'em a flaming territory.

I live in one of the youngest States, #46. Transition from territory to statehood is a big part of our relatively recent history. I remember when Alaska & Hawaii became states. I was so proud of our new flag.
But I've never given a thought to the idea of having a state revert to a territory if it failed. That's... interesting.
after six shots and "several toasts" at an official banquet, Carey "didn't remember the particulars of any of his toasts other than them being about camaraderie." (They were also allegedly inappropriate.)
So, this fired Major-General -- an actual f-up, or a framee in the purge?
He told TechCrunch: "It is about time California was properly represented with senators in Washington. Now our number of senators per person will be about average."

Another Constitutional scholar. Why, he should run for President!
Well Phil Robertson has done it now. He has pissed off Charlie Sheen.

Didn't click. Did LOL at that. Good one, Vic.
Speaking of adapting across media... (that's such a good hook!)...
Starting today, for maybe six days, a cartoonish adaptation of the tale of a young couple pushed around by the taxman, while starting their family.

I'm no Peter Jackson, but I had fun.
If Jesus' teachings mean anything, this is self evident. And I'm a Jew.

It's really quite remarkable how much new shit they can make up that wasn't in the book and still make it a good movie.. especially for me being a big Hobbit and LOTR fan all these years.

In the 1st one, i got as far as Radagast's bunny sled and turned it off, never tried again. Waiting for the by-the-book fan edit.
Posted from my cell sitting at my desk at home. Because I can.

Didn't Emmett's Jug Band vanish in the rural shows purge of the early 70s?

Fish-eye lens? -Niedermeyer's Dead Horse
Alas, unless the jailhouse photog is having fun, it's the same lens used on all my famous neighbors. You don't usually see folks like that allowed out on the streets.... well, you didn't used to.

But winner of the year is this fellow who decided that a baseball bat was the perfect thing for killing grandma.

End of local rogues gallery. For now.
One nice thing I can say about the neighborhood: they caught all these creeps.

Almost forgot about this pair. Grabbed an old man at a casino and dumbed his body in a pasture. Sweet pair.

Mug shot winnah of the week is this guy, arrested for domestic abuse, but she fought back.

Survived another Nutcracker ballet. My Inner Kid who grew up on Mad Magazine still thinks it's a nutty art form, but my Refined Adult appreciates that it has its moments. Especially when my daughter rocks the Spanish dance.
It's cold. It's wet. It's freezing wet drizzly rain ice stuff all over everything.
Nobody in their right mind would do anything but snuggle down with a good book, kindle, blog, or old movie.
Ha! I'm going to the ballet, to see my daughter in several roles and enjoy an evening of fine cultural entertainment among my sneezing, coughing neighbors, but mostly --okay, entirely-- the former.
And here I thought our annual pre-Christmas shleps to the arts center would be over after she grew up! Foolish me.
(Wife! Wake me up when daughter comes on stage... or if I'm snoring!)
don't get the 'Conan' joke of this post.
