Huge caldera stewing under Yellowstone -- there's that.

Too late. The wedding will be held in ashfall if necessary.
Updating to Win8.1 and my compooter is saying it needs to reboot. BRB.

"and he never returned no he never returned and his fate is still unlearned poor ol' GGE.."
Over 600 already wow.
Well we're back from the post-rehearsal dinner. Nothing but God or SMOD can stop this wedding tomorrow, as I told my son tonight.
belated reply...
No Headline Posts on Saturdays.

It's Saturday?!? OMG My son's wedding rehearsal dinner is tonight. I'd better find some pants!
(( waves some of our toasty 30° air in Seamus Muldoon's direction ))
Bob's off today, but that's right, BB. But you know you can trust us.
Seen on Twitter:
"Mike Tyson Explores Kierkegaard".
I'll assume nobody wants me to link it.

snorted aloud at that one.
"Note that while the family is Christian and attends Bible sessions, it is conspicuous in absence that the article doesn't specify the shooter himself is Christian or attending Bible sessions..." -Conservative Crank
((Stops formatting clever-ish FIFY rewrite to say this.))
I sense a distubance in the force....
Something familiar is imminent....
I'll bet it's...
Headlines post in 10... 9...
The earth is flat. The moon is a disc. The Chinese lie. It's all fake, just like that staged 'moon landing' photo where you can see the flag waving in the breeze.
Now, ignore that web of crazy Teabaggy conspiracy lies and sign up for Affordable Care.

No activity for over an hour. Guess I'll close the ONT tab.
Darn it, I seem to have unintentionally closed Purp's vanished post tab.
One tab for the front page, one for reading current post, a copy for composition on current post, old post or two tabs sometimes, and linked articles... isn't this how everyone reads blogs? Often, at this point, the browser closes....
AoSHQ: Kind of like a tech agility test. Or maybe a modern version of Zork.
"...niece brandished a knife and threatened to kill Mrs. Crank last night..."
Lord! Crank! We did have that worrisome time we couldn't find the big kitchen knife, until we looked under the niece's bed, but when it came down to it in the end, she only used her fingernails claws. When my arms tan the scars still show. :/
God bless her & you.
Conservative Crank's wall o' text:
Folks who take in wayward relations, God bless you, but take heed.
We had nieces about the same age as our three come live with us, after my ex-sis-in-law gave up on them.
It was too late. We did them no good (well, maybe some good for the younger one), and the influence ran backward of what I'd hoped, more harm to my fam than good for them.
Don't ever let kindness cause blindness. Duty demands, protect your own first & foremost.
Andy for teh win. Purp stands for purpetually stomped.
Three "news" items on Drudge.
Sun 'activity' at century low
Beneath Yellowstone, a volcano that could wipe out USA
Scientists find second, 'hidden' language in DNA
None of these are exactly "breaking." The last is most so, and it's buried in the 3rd column. The first is least so, big above-the-title max-font headline.
Must be a slow news day....
hahaha. Andy & Purp posted simultaneously.
Think I'll wait for that to shake out before commenting.
Don't forget this country started with 13 colonies, & we were lucky to be born here in the best country in the world. -Carol
Prior to 1966 or so, I lived in the best place in the world, heart of the USA, with the best schools and friends and family and everything Leave It to Beaver swell, except in glorious Technicolor.
They gutted what made the town great, death and divorce wrecked the family, schools changed, cultural foundations were lost. All in half a decade.
Could not give my kids what I received. Did our best to transmit the Spirit of it, though. A glorious 4th of July parade can still evoke it, but, yes, we''ll be a while rebuilding. God willing.
Who forgot to put up a morning thread?
Gabe: Not me.
Andy: Ida know.

That numeral, as well as "Friday The Thirteenth", is as inconsequential to me as the temperature on any given day in August. -slap
I'm with you, except about the temperature on any given day in August part. But I live in Oklahoma.
Long ago I declared Fri 13 my lucky day, along with black cats and broken mirrors. I figure, if you're going to have superstitions, make them all positive ones.
But that number, i sure, t's all fun n games til they brand it into your forehead...
