new world record for coldest temperature has been set. The new record is â€"135.8°.
I was told there would be no calculus involved!

Zimmerman's GF now wants the charges against him dropped. http://tinyurl.com/krn2j8h
Didn't click, but had just happened to read this on the ONT...
In other news, Zimmerman's gf says she made it all up, that one of the guns seized at her apartment is hers, and that he never threatened her with a gun. http://tinyurl.com/kmtc49k

Kinda already figured Zim was being scammed again, didn't you?
Poor Zim has that superpower of exposing scammers. Treyvon, the DA, the Judge, the ex-Mrs Z, the gf...
Alas, like my brother who had the power of marrying unfaithful women, it's not doing much good for him.
And, so, hi, folks. It's 1° here, which I mention because I found the ° key on my cell. ![]()
So much to do, it's the busy season. Busy. Busy. Busy.
The days are short and the streets are frozen. Busy. Busy. Busy.
I haven't had time to read AoS, not the posts, not the comments. Busy. Busy. Busy.
Help! My life is a twisted nightmare! Busy. Busy. Busy.
I'll try to catch up later. BsyBsyBsy
BUT!
Purely in the course of busy-ness, I ran across a picture of a lady in a bikini with a bow. So I thought it would look good here on the buffet. Best I could do on short notice. Busy. etc.

Oh, my mistake. That was no lady. That was Melissa Bachman, netwidely-infamous killer of lions and zebras and cuddly little alligators.

Too ancient to be just a mama anymore.
Now get off my lawn.
-grammie (cuz mama is way way old) winger
Aww.
You'll still be Mama Winger to me.
But, my kids were born in the '80s....
Does anybody really understand cricket? I think the Brits have been faking it all this time. -joncelli
Cricket - the Emperor's New Clothes of Sports.
Hey, Geraghty in his morning email links and quotes Ace's MacGuffin post extensively. The Ewok is hitting Whatever a Geraghty is is linking to the bigtime! -joncelli

Opened many tabs to read, but first, about Dogs Afraid To Walk By Cats (which I didn't watch yet)...
Our dog yields to, and tries not to make eye contact with, our cats, several of whom love him and like to get up in his face.
I think it's because his German Shepherd / pitbull / ? instinct is to chase down and snap little creatures like them, as he's done with opposums and squirrels, instinct held in check only by our defining cats as family.
Smart, smart dog. Super loyal and devoted. Big, big instincts....
Do empty-nester pet owners obsess about their animal pals? Discuss. (No, please don't.)
To the tabs... and comments... and the day... hi yo
I blathered on a bit; nood up meanwhile?
Yes! I knew I felt a disturbance in the Force!
"... a few million Chinese soldiers, if it came to it. ..."
Which side? They might want to protect their American 'investment'! :/
Besides direct confrontation, I can imagine the subtle material sabotage the prankster population of America can pull.
Anyway, first they'll have to come through California, and if they survive the Great San Fran Slapfest, and the Mexican Drug Gangs Battle for LA, then we'll greet them with our wickedest weapons: buckets of Chick Fil-A, beaucoup Big Macs and Big Gulps, 24/7 Wal-Marts and liquor stores.
hm... I blathered on a bit; nood up meanwhile?
so the UN would be patrolling down Main Street to put down the rebellion...???
They've been so effective elsewhere. I'm sure the blue helmets will be properly welcomed in 2nd Amendment respecting areas. :/
By the way, speaking of an Article V convention, anyone hear anything about Saturday's Mount Vernon Assembly? -J.J. Sefton
I've had a busy week or three (excuses, excuses) and keep neglecting to check, but I'm surprised my primary news source, AOSHQ, has had not one link to follow about it... that I've seen. Don't even know if Okla sent reps!
Also, Law of Self Defense person, your nic link needs the http:// prefix or (on my cell browser at least) it goes to minx.cc.
Someone socked that Law of Self-Defense celebrity slumming in the HQ comments? Like anybody'd believe that. ![]()
If you like your toilet paper, you can keep your toilet paper. No one's trying to take that away fom you.
But, at a cerain point, you've got enough toilet paper.
I order. today, that the forest industry be under the auspices of the EPA. A few small manufacturing rules may be added... for the children.

Finally, some daylight showing. Hurry, solstice!
I received a Chia Obama kit as a gift years ago. Didn't work for me... 'cause I couldn't bother & it's still in the box.
I think I just figured out one Christmas gift for an Obit relative, though. ![]()
By the way, what's "dogpile?"
Check footnote where I mentioned it, JJ!

Margaret Hamilton bdy
Great lady. Loved her most (in-)famous role. She wanted her obit to be headlined, ding dong the witch is dead. Some papers thought that disrespectful; I recall being glad to see whatever paper I read it in honored her wish.
"I find this idiotic cartoon offensive and the lie that goes along with it. Can we sue Democrats? http://tinyurl.com/kc9s8jk" - Vic
Offensively dumb and unfunny like all ham-handed propaganda cartoons. *spits*
I would say that's a professional opinion, but after fifty years of cartooning, I''ve never actually been paid for it, so what do I know?!
Every case I have ever read about on both of these laws has been BS. Both should have been repealed when we had all three branches. - Vic
Yeah, I'd like to think change of parties in control would bring extreme housekeeping to the Fed level, but long experience hath shown...
J.J. Sefton:
DAY 400 - a milestone!
((whistles, shouts, throws confetti))
1,061 to go (1,132 to Inauguration Day 2017)

Did I tell you I had to Dogpile* 'maricons'?
