It's morning in America!
Or at least at ASHQ!

Mrs and dog are home. Half a dusty orange moon setting. Crickets chorusing. Temperature and humidity are just about perfect.
We get a slice of time-space, mindedness, each other. Enjoy as much as you can whenever you can. Remember, they usually can't get you over the weekend.
Troll alert, methinks. -Mike Hammer
I thought, who, what? (and as always, 'me?') Somehow my brain just wasn't registering. Had to go back and look. When stuff just doesn't make sense in late-night speedreading, apparently there's some kind of psychic prebanhammering going on. ![]()
The Mrs just said: I'm so sick of Charles Krauthammer. "The Way Out - Paul Ryan's Win-Win Suggestion" at NR. Sub-head The Way Out - What Boehner Should Ask For.
She says, I don't even have to read it..... ![]()
"Most of you moron-ettes are not prepared to handle what comes next."
Nobody can be prepared, really.
Although I expect everyone will be challenged.
Oh, look, fluffy bunnies! http://youtu.be/eYVY7n31ijw

"And I believe the universe to be infinitely large.
Has to be." -nothinglefttolose
Well, maybe not our part of the infinite Creation. But including all the universes of universes, throughout an eternity in either time direction, then, yeah, probably.
It's a great big universe and we're all really puny.

The Mrs says, 'I just figured out Paul Ryan. He's from Wisconsin. And the industrialized part. ... Unions!'
Good evening, flappers, rappers, and dapper toe-tappers. (You know what I mean.)
Hunnerts of comments! I read a few. Which ones are at least as good as...
Stargazing makes me feel so insignificant.
Still, it beats the way the Rpublican party makes me feel.
-Freaked Out!
Heh. Darn those good for nothing Republicans! Darn that Ted Cruz. Oh, wait. And, what about this guy? He's ours. (This is from back in June, but I don't think They've Got To Him yet.)

Publishing photos of your mental disorder isn't art.

Maybe not, but probably most of what has passed for art is exactly that.
Anyway, Scream? Brugel? ![]()
Awhile back, Tom Baker posted on his site about the death of the actress who played Romana I. I realized I'd never seen her run. Well, Mrs & I started watching old Dr Who from the transition to Tom Baker, and last week made it through the 8th Dr movie and then just to compare we watched the first two new ones, but weren't quite ready to start rewatching the 21st Century series.
Yay! We've never watched any 2nd Dr years, but I enjoyed him in the multi-Dr episodes, so, good excuse to go back in time again.
It's perfectly reasonable to watch a time traveler series in any order, right?
Let's see. Just came out on iToots, so should already be all over torrents, and that part of internet we don't talk about.... jus' sayin'...
"So, in other words, a normal amount of rounds for practice?"
Normal for a military or real LE, maybe.
And a normal amount of armored vehicles for protecting the environment and running schools...

red counties seceding from Blue States -Vic
Okay. I won't promote my latest webwork every time someone employs that backward propaganda hue scheme. but if anyone wants a graphic reminder of the true blue, nik link.
Good morning, by the way.
I'm past my expiration hour. Got to meet a man about a truck in the morning.
Note: the dark items in the guacamole on the buffet are not raisins. and I'm not sure thats even guacamole.
"...particularly in the "red" states (fwiw, that color designation really pisses me off, little leftist fucks really got one over on us with that one)." -GGE of the Moron Horde, NC Chapter
Agreed. Choose not to employ the vernacular, then.
(But oboy - a hook for plugging graphic webwork in niclink.)
btw, all. I made it back to my cell; preparing to fade. Sing me a lullabye.
Ooohhkay, I breezed through the first 100 comments, and there was talk of avocados. And there was talk of ettes removing their bras. And avocados. Ette boobage. Avocados. There seemed to be some theme going, but I just couldn't put my finger on it.
Dare I wonder what the next 400 comments might hold?
My late, sainted mother-in-law and husband, Chicagoans, lived in Florida during the war. (He managed to join up with only one eye! He taught pilots celestial navigation.) They had an avocado tree in their yard and loads of them on the ground for the taking all the time. They had no idea what they were and never touched them.
Avocados can be dull and tasteless. Or icky and overripe. BUT, given good, ripe, tasty avocados, mrs mindful webworker makes a mighty fine guacamole! You don't like 'em? More for me!
And folks, to make avocados tasty, remember what Marge Simpson said, "You might say the secret ingredient is salt!"
Salt? Did someone say salt?

I know most folks think it too hard, but home-school, or anything, ANYTHING but the Federal Communist Brainwashing Camps! Once you understand that's what they are, sending kids there is a sin. YMMV but prob not.

One of the first thoughts to arise in my uncaffeinated brain this morning:
When I began arguing against Big Gov, decades ago, I argued against things like Amtrack and prohibition and expanding welfare, and whether Govt should run the mail or the highways.
How simple that seems now. And how innocent my concerns that if we didn't stop those encroachments, it would soon be the whole camel in the tent. I didn't expect a herd of camels trampling the tent!
Stomp that metaphor & fetch me some coffee. I'm ready to play armchair dissident for another day. Starting with finishing Vic's news above. No, starting with coffee...
