Not really sure but I guess this is O/T.

I'm sitting here looking at a CableOne slide explaining why they dropped CNN and TCM and other Turner channels. (Higher fees, falling ratings.)

So sad!

Doubt it. Heard a little Radio Network News last night, first time in a while, and yes top story was shutdown, but you could hardly hear that over the knob-gobbling subtexts of the Democrat Party Media.

Observation from the heart of flyover country, for those stuck in the Beast.

So, thirty-nine years ago, this Chicago girl I met at college says she's coming to visit me in Oklahoma. Oct 1, she's going to arrive at 7 in the morning in Ponca City on the train.

Passenger trains stop in Oklahoma? I had no idea. And why Ponca City? Why didn't they stop in Tulsa? Sheesh! I'd never even been to Ponca City. Wasn't sure where it was.

So I drove over to pick her up, at seven in the morning, at the train station, in Ponca City.

Well, skip forward a little bit, and three kids and thirty-nine years later, that girl and I have a hotel room with a hot tub for the night.

It can be fun to act the villain. Always think of Marg. Hamilton's having enjoyed giving us the scene-chewing Wicked Witch.

But to play the weasel, that's special work. (You hope you're not typecast!) Frank was not always despicable, sometimes could even be sympathetic, and his last scene as Hot Lips flew away was poignant.

I salute your endurance and willingness to give us the fool, Mr Linville.

For my inner kid who thrilled to Glenn's ride and Armstrong's mooncast, this should be so exciting a time in space exploration. But I find it hard to enjoy given the context of our corrupted state of the nation. Peacetime advances are hard to appreciate during war.
