I don't know why people think I think I'm royalty. I have my serfs put my pants on one leg at a time like everybody else.

"Vandala also toppled a statue of the Ten Commandments in front of an evangelical Group headquarters in DC."

Took me a moment to figure out who the Vandala would be.

Battle lines being drawn.
God's enemies seem more clear of the issues than those proffessing allegiance.
It's a long, old war.

I respect Sowell a great deal. I'm sad to see him on the "why bother?" bandwagon.

Just read quote, not article, but.... As I've been thinking lately, what can we do when the citizenry is a majority of selfish and ignorant idiots. Like, impeach TFG and we get Joey Boy. Impeach him, we get Jonbon. Impeach him, we get... Kerry. it's just tyrants and fools all the way down. And we are not in a position to treat our tyrant parties as Egypt did theirs. Alas.

Sorry. Ranting on cell keyboard trying to be concise makes this webworker incomprehensible... moreso than usual. Must be time to feed the pets.

8 Cat lying across arm. Typing and witticisms restricted. - J.J. Sefton
____
Brings back memories of when I typed a lot of one-handed keystrokes with our firstborn cradled in one arm.

Later, with the twins, not as easy!

The cats are more amenable to being summarily thrown on the floor, I've noticed.

Good morning, everybody. Grabbing for the gusto today?

Progress report: I've scanned the post, and the comments up to mine back at 96 or something, and I see there's been more comments posted in the meantime. How unexpected!

I think I may have to go before I get back again.

Why can't we have the ONT in the afternoon?

All I did was follow some of rdbrewer's video links from the sidebar, and before I knew it, I had wandered off into the Darkest Jungles of YouTube.™ Conspiracy Theories. UFOs. Lost Civilizations. Reynolds Wrap chapeaus.

Did you know about the Leprechaun-sized Atacoma people? I didn't. I'd seen the thumbnail images but always passed it up like Alien Autopsies. But from this video they seem to be a real thing. The Russians (who get all the coolest stuff) had a live one.

Then, I hit the strangest vein of all. Japanese commercials! https://youtu.be/giGAEe3_Ft0

Thus brung what I couldst, for the evening carousers.

Now, should I read the post first, or the comments? Hmmm..

Cloud cover causes cooling. Lack of, heating. Because, sun, shade.

Mostly, cosmic rays (the real ones, not the Fantastic Four ones) cause clouds. Stars cause cosmic rays.

When our local star gets active, we get more cosmic rays, more clouds, more cooling. When our star is more dormant, the opposite. Humans are insignificant to the process.

Cloud cover may of course also be increased by comet strikes, volcanic eruptions, and possibly a major nuclear conflict. In descending order of potential cooling.

But all these are the minor fluctuations within the larger cosmic cycle.

Every 25,000 years or so, our star orbits near other stars. We get more of their cosmic rays, and an ice age. Our long "summer" is waning. We're on our way back there now. Invest long-term in heating fuels.

"Real Talk: A Dialogue about Internalized Racism" that is "open to people of color only."

Paper bag test?

The irony... it stings! Internalized racism indeed! "Open to non-coloreds only" would be just as acceptable, right?

"I am not interested in Koran but I expect it does not want people to kill other innocent people in the name of Allah." : CarolT

A surprising number of folks, in and out of Islam, seem to think it teaches exactly that. Or more specifically, that infidels are QED not 'innocents.'

NTTAWWT, because multicultural diversity relativistic morality and unicorns....

Egad! No such comparison intended! Maybe you didn't get what I got from that MASH episode. Just saying, we pray, but must trust absolutely and not despair that the results were not what we prayed for.

Caused me to think, as GHWB was to RR, so was RMN to Ike.
