No major trick. To start with, he's naturally really smart, and dutiful and faithful. Getting him to know his territory, just learn to obey commands, and time to lose that wild attitude and fear (prob abused before he was abandoned) he had before he found us. He trained us.

I watch videos of puppies being trained, and wish we'd had him as a puppy. A good trick for him is "here".

Just the dog. We don't try to tie out the cats. Like spell-check, speech-to-text is handy, but re-reading is still important.

I would just like to file a Caturday report, that all of our cats and the dog all seem to be happy and healthy, freely wandering in and out of the house and around the yard.

It took a long time, but the dog who adopted us years ago when he was a teenager seems finally to have understood that he can't just run away all the time. We hardly ever put them out on the tether. He's now a really close part of our family, and the shepherd in him seems to have taken root. He's real good guarding us all.

Handy tip: Tulsa World's online sign-in can be defeated if you hit Break just as the article page loads, but before the sign-in popup loads. I can often do it the first try.

But I avoid TW if at all possible. Plenty other good unblocked local news sources.

To think how I once enjoyed perusing the World in the morning and the Tribune in the evening! Another age.
