Dog started barking at something outside, so, I looked out, saw nothing, and I let him out. That's when I saw the big, big buck standing 'way out by the pasture wall. Dog ran about halfway toward him barking. Buck just stood there. Dog stopped, and came back. Not as dumb as he seems sometimes.

I knew if I posted on the ONT that the morning thread would appear. So I did and it did. Power!
place finger between lips.
make b-b-b noise while moving finger up & down

Know why God split your rear end vertically instead of horizontally?
So when you slide down stairs, your butt doesn't go (now make that sound).

Oh. Um. Okay.
G'night, everybody.
So.. I've been trying in fits and starts to watch Firefly, since my sons and all these folks think it's something good, and there's not a lot of it.
It's... um... there are some what I call Lucy moments, and contrivances, and... well, never mind my complaints.
Tonight, I finished the episode where the Companion has a woman client. If you've seen it, you know the one I mean. And its meme.

Does the SCOAMF remind anyone else of a certain old Fantastic Four comics character?

Prob'ly jus' me.
New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner has emerged unscathed from a minor car crash. Mystery hero who pulled him from the crash rumored to be George Zimmerman.
Awww. I was so looking fwd to the ONT, then that other interesting OregonMuse thread jumped up. Now I'm kinda disappointed it got squashed in its yooth. But that's how it goes in the mud-wrestling pit of coblogger posts.
Besides, Mrs brought me a chocolate ice cream cone and it was great. So, life is worth living for a while longer.
I'm tired of being tolerant and civil. Why should I put up with this crap?

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security

YOU BETCHA! Yet, somehow, it seems, that's being said as if it were a bad thing.
It's SATURDAY NIGHT! Do you know where YOUR congresscritters are hiding?

Knee's fine, webworker.
I will stand by that statement--please reread it and context it properly.
Pay particular attention to the words summarily and discretionary.
summarily execute the dealers on a discretionary basis.
____
irongrampa, how's the knee?
I have great respect for you, but stay away from my coffee purveyors. And for my smoking and drinking friends, keep your Carrie Nation axes on your own property, and leave honest tobacconists and beermakers alone. Oh, if you meant your choice of dealers, that's selective tyranny, still not liberty. I'll choose liberty.
Now, if you find someone slipping substances to the young'n's on the playground, or (like some I've known), slipping something to somebody, justice should be hard, swift & sure.
It's not easy to stand up for liberty's subcategory, the right to be a jackass and realize the consequences. Works, though.
BenK up yet?
Well, Slaps, there once was an Amendment about booze. At least that was, briefly, tragically, Constitutional. Everything else is the Leviathan of taxes and regs. Prohib is the slippery slope, which BTW is now practically verticle. Do not compromise Liberty.
While I'm 'way up here on the soapbox, wanna see me balance on one foot?
I challenge anyone today to tell me what US policy in the Middle East is
___
Caliphate. Establishment of.

Wait. Was that my 1st remark du jour? Let me start over.
Good morning, Ace-ians. Good to see the community continues this fine Saturday morning. Civilization's hiding place.
Great content, Andy. Really got the ball rolling. ![]()
