I just now caught up to my first comment. The Eastern time stamp on the comment is the same time is on my cell right now (Central). I'm exactly 1 hour behind. Everybody's moved on by now I suppose.

Extrapolate from that small sampling to the national level.
Quick thinking ten year old drives car in medical emergency....
My dad wasn't much older than that when his older sister ran through a glass door & sliced her arm open and he had to drive her to the hospital in the station wagon. Cops drove up to him, he held up her bloody arm, and got a police escort to the hospital. It was a small town and a short distance. But he knew how to drive. And the cop did the right thing. And we all learned to drive when young.

What's mostly gone is the values taught through our mythologies. Superman is still shown, but not truth, justice, and the American Way.

When Sherry McEvil talked about GOP nomination in the Oklahoma congressional and state offices, I kept thinking, yeah, but then there's Coburn.
The way to repeal a stupid law is to enforce it with vigor. - toby928©
Years ago, the Oklahoma Attorney General begin strictly enforcing Oklahoma's Club laws. Subsequently the law was repealed and we got liquor by the drink. However, Oklahomans are mostly sensible, and like to drink.
OTOH, with Obamacare, the citizenry are insensible and think they'll get free healthcare.
Otherwise, I might say, yeah, that works.
Annnnnd good morning, revolutionaries.

I misread the dentist message as well. Skip the 2nd sentence and see what I got:
I had a dentist appt. to fix a filling and also had my teeth cleaned. I came home and removed spent blooms from my roses. One has blackspot and the fungicide I use to kill it is in the "danger" category.
The Chthooloo [ghesundheit] pie was awesome-looking.
Big Ben is awesome.
Maddie's improved health is awesomest. (I haven't followed it all, or participated in messages, but follow.)

If you can find the way to buy this via Ace, I recommend it.
Life & Times of Henry Bellmon, cattleman, 1st GOP Gov. of Okla, US Senator. A good man.
The chapter devoted to my Dad's work is not the only reason I recommend it. Amazon review:
___________
Bellmon's candid and action-filled autobiography records his career as a dedicated public servant who rose through the ranks of Oklahoma's Republican Party; after being named its chairman in 1960, he in effect reorganized the state party. Only two years later, the ex-marine and "dumb farmer's" folksy but astute "no new taxes" campaign won him the first of two terms as governor of a five-to-one Democratic Oklahoma, with the second term beginning in 1986. Elected in the interim to the U.S. Senate in 1968, he describes his 12-year tenure there as "filled with frustration," in contrast to being "his own boss" as farmer and governor....

Somehow, I think that wasn't the comic relief intended.
"Mindful, I keep asking, are you in Tulsa or close to it?" Sherry McEvil
Hi. Yeah, 1st time, I answered, but guess you missed it. 2nd time tech wouldn't let me post! Was looking for you the past few days.
So, yes, Washington Co., my birthplace and probably the other terminal as well. Went to HS in Tulsa 100 years ago. Last lived there on 35th Place when the tornado went down 36th Place.
Trudy and Bob at the NSA, you already knew all that, right?
Sherry McEvil posted last thread about the Okla GOP. I want to 2nd that emotion. (id say more a out it but I'm tapping on the cell. ugh) It's hard to say LIB when you live where there's still so much hope, and no small share of rah-rah America. The war is on, but hardly lost.

Just wanted to say, "Miguel Ambivalence@sven10077" mentioned this on the morning thread http://minx.cc/?blog=86&post=342071#c20972865 and I was curious, so I appreciated the post about it, Dave in Texas.
Popping back in to say...

(SFW)
Um... Yeah, I suppose the video is - didn't watch to the climax.
But, I've got the safety off on YouTube and ... nothing in my sidebar is SFW. Like, "My girlfriend's Vagina up close! by teenagecrazy"??? No, I didn't click! And no, I won't leave a link. You go look for it yourself, perv. I already landed on some Japanese child-rape comics site this week (ye gods!), and I don't need more of that on my NSA logs!
Just checked back after some teevee and... oh my.
"Sorry to stack up another post like this," Ace says. Like he can't just come in and leave a comment like ord'nary folk. No, he's gotta leave a post like he owns the place or something.
I'm not sure what's live and what's memorex around here with all the posts, so I think I'll skip everything and go directly (by way of the 4th dimension) to the morning thread. Somebody take notes so I can crib off of you then.
