I'm impressed.

Can't be hung if they have a verdict, right?
Surely they didn't all six go for manslaughter!
Some are trying to persuade the one or more hangups on the meaning of "manslaughter," perhaps. Would be nice if that worked.
Jury wants clarification of manslaughter.
This might be hopeful. Might... be.... but it sure confirms where they're hanging.
God bless me, my #375, autoincorrect made Diety into Dirty because it did not know Deity, but I have enlightened this POS iClone.
There's some vid of monkeys kidnapping wild puppies and adopting them. The gregariousness of the two species, beyond the symbiotic aspects, definitely reflects the human-canine associations.
The Creators designed the material universe to spawn self- and Dirty-aware consciousness because, love. Then, gave us dogs to be our loyal family, to keep us humble.
There's a mangy stray hanging around on the ranch lately. Collar, but can't see tags. Seems domesticated. Won't allow people to approach, though. Abandoned would be a good guess (our place draws them), but spooked by fireworks & lost is a distant 2nd possibility. In any case, say a prayer to the doggie deities we can catch him or her soon.
"She is Hispanic and black. She just moved to Florida four months ago from Chicago. She has eight children and works at a nursing home."
Mr Zimmerman's future may come down to this woman, where in Chicago she lived, why she moved, her religion. Justice! How does it work?
OTOH, she may be the one that opted to spend one more night at the hotel instead of going home to the kids.
Maybe the new blog software will let us do that????

Hahaha. I barely had a moment to think, "#two weeks", before scrolling to the next comment...
While we wait for justice or something...
One next-to-last plugola for my Bill of Rights doodles series.
A Colorable Pretext
Amenment 9 - does not lend itself readily to illustration. How does one illustrate non-things and unspecified "others"? But I set myself the task of doing all 10. So, I just slapped a pic of Hamilton and a quote together. (Link in nic) Tomorrow's conclusion to the series will be less literate, more pictorial. : )
"Black coffee? My ain't you just a wee bit 'raaaaacist!!!'"
I dunno... which race can't drink coffee? (pa-ding)
I notice The Verdict is likely to arrive on a Saturday. So none of the rioters will have to miss work.
I crazy-ass cracker myself up.
G'morn, revolutionaries. Thanks, Vic, you're the cream in my morning coffee. wait that sounds wrong - anyway, I take it black. Coffee. Think I'll make some.

@Sherry McEvil
North of.
Is it just that I'm usually doing other things bumps, or is this early thread really going fast? Maybe if I quit reading all the girl & gun comments, I could get caught up.
Never mind. Day beckons. Pray for justice!
I have some doubt about the justice in a system that piles on all levels of charges and then says, which do you think, jury? as opposed to charged with x, guilty or not. I still regret the decision made by twelve of us where we did the splits, not guilty on the big one, guilty on the lesser. That's why they do it that way.
If the Zim jury comes back hung on manslaughter, that'll be why. God grant maximum wisdom to those jurors.
HBD Sherry McEvil. I'd recommend my chiropractor on the 30th floor of that cylindrical tower at 21st & Denver, but nobody takes chiro recommendations. (ps - I don't trust doctors, and mock standard chiro, but Brooks is diff - actually fixes people. YMMV)

"...wouldn't call her that. [flight attendant = hero] I would say she did her job. Which makes her a good employee." : Oldsailors Poet
You, sir, are a tough sell. Injured, plane on fire, waited 'til all were clear, even walked back into smoke looking for stragglers. No heroism? Just duty? How about 'extraordinary everyday courage,' then?
Oh, look, by topical coincidence (of is it?), yesterday's and today's goofy collage doodles are on the right to trial by jury, the 6th & 7th Amendments. Today's is 70% less wordy and so more moron-accessible than some in the series.

Click nick if those get blocked.
Unindicted perjurer and an incompetent is racking up wads of cash in "speaking fees"...
Is it a sign of the times that I a) wonder which perjurer, and b) don't care enough to click?
I want at least one, just one, of those computer systems our govt throws away. Dear heaven! Plus all those infected mice! Where's PETA?
Howdy, y'all.

Without peaking at the answer sheet or any comments...
1. Amendments Does the 18th count, since the 21st repealed it? Do they combined equal zero?
2. Economics Socialism. With pockets of capitalist resistance.
3. US Rep Mighty Jim Bridenstein, may he never drink the koolade
4. Cabinet Prone. Proner.
5. Chief Justice Valerie Jarrett.
6. Early Americans Eskimoes (Inuits). Then those reddish Asian invaders. Are Vikings European? And we're not counting the occasional Nephalim, right?
7. Huh? Does this mean one of the writers of the Constitution? Is this a trick question?
8. Big Ben Wooing French Women!
9. Ike Missed WW1 by thatmuch. Won WW2. Commanded in Chief over Korea and the Cold. Also the war with the military-industrial complex. I like Ike.
10. SBA Got herself to be the first actual woman on a US dollar.
What do I win?
Speaking of Amendments (he interrupted), I've been doing some collage-cartoons about the Bill of Rights. At first, I didn't think I'd do more than the first few Amendments, but this evening I'm almost done with #10.
Today's (Wed) is a jaundiced look at #6, our precious right to fair trials.
I'm no Constitutional scholar like the JEF, but I can use scissors and paste, which is one more tool than they let Uncle Joe use.
