Lou's a girl, couldn't leave without saying thanks & replying to "Guess everyone is scared of getting spied on" -- I don't know what you mean. Although, my stats say that moments after I commented, that cartoon got three hits via here, and one was from Henderson NV. Is that a known NV moron, or cue ominous spy music? (Waving hi to whoever's in Henderson.)

Good night, f'realz

Since it was mentioned, I re-submit (nic link) my cartoon of a couple of days ago, inspired by the Henderson police. Another little mindless webwork.

Good evening, all. Thank you, Maet for the ONT. That's my 2c worth, less Internet Tax. Good night. Brush your teeth. Say your prayers.

Jay Silverheels didn't care much for the "Ugh! Kimo Sabee" dialogue, but he was proud to be able to portray the Indian as friend, not savage. Changed the perceptions of the world, that man.

I never appeared as the Ranger without a mask. Until they told me I couldn't with the last Ranger bomb. Then I just wore mask-like sunglasses. It was important for the kids. For Heroism.

The Museum of Sex in New York City, located at Fifth Avenue and 27th Street, is now featuring an exhibit called "Universe of Desire." That exhibit includes text from a Facebook back-and-forth between New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner and Vegas blackjack dealer Lisa Weiss.

Pot? POT?

The ingredients in a Lean cocktail are promethazine(liquid codeine)... some alternative ingredients... PCP, Cocaine... sometimes... Hydrocodone... over the counter cough syrups that contain... [and] dextromethorphan (DXM) [which when] abused... offers effects like ketamine or PCP, hallucinations and all....

Pot makes you happy. Pot makes you want to string beads and burn incense and sing dark, sad folk songs about failed romances and mean mine-owners. Pot makes people want to take off their clothes and make love, not war. Happy happy weed. We're all just happy, peaceful Persian hash-smokers here.

We just keep the scimitars sharp for playing mumbledypeg.

Hows that working out? -UWP

You forgot the vital last part of what I said. Are you an editor from NBC?

Since you ask, though, of the top half-dozen threatening situations I can recall just offhand, three involving guns aimed at me, I walked away every time, uninjured all but once, and the six other-ethnicity fellows who jumped me and blackened both my eyes let me go with no worse, even returned my property.

Do I always expect that? No. But so far so good. Speak softly - there's remarkable efficacy to turning the other cheek when properly done. I've also found carrying a large stick helpful on more than one occasion.

Happens a few times a year. Is this common for cats? -early cuyler

Yeah. We have five indoor-outdoor cuddly little killing machines. Latest was the bottom half of a mouse by the bed in the morning. Before that, a whole mouse under the coffee table. Usually they leave them on the porch, though, for which I'm especially grateful when their offerings are feathered. Many pretty birds (vs the ones we don't care about), alas, pay a price for our rodent control system.

They might as well say you are allowed to throw a pillow at your assailant. - Seamus Muldoon

I think, at that point, your best defense is to throw the lockbox/safe.

"...plenty of websites that cater to Komputer Kommandos who appear to be eager for violence, but this isn't one of them." -MrScribbler

It's like the stupid movies thing of telling someone you're going to attack. Uh, error.

You don't agitate. You don't instigate. You with all your might try to de-escalate.

But if it's time for action, words will not be involved.

"It makes you feel kind of angry and kind of bad that race is not a part of this," Reverend Harrold C. Daniels told the Post. "It's a missed opportunity."

Whew. Once, I would have been astonished at the absolute disingenuousness in that self-revealing remark. Now? I just think, of course. Sick beyond cure "Reverend."

Good morning, revolutionaries. It's delightfully cool and overcast for a July morning here in the middle of America. A relatively perfect moment. Feeds the soul. Hope y'all are relatively okay today.

"The ideals of statehood must be attained by evolution, by the slow growth of civic consciousness, the recognition of the obligation and privilege of social service. At first men assume the burdens of government as a duty, following the end of the administration of political spoilsmen, but later on they seek such ministry as a privilege, as the greatest honor. The status of any level of civilization is faithfully portrayed by the caliber of its citizens who volunteer to accept the responsibilities of statehood."
