Got up and checked the end of the ONT as usual... looking for Vic News, too... and... my! As they say, that escalated quickly. Hope no one was stuck in the barrel when the doors got locked.

I love starting the day with a treasure hunt.

When I look at my dental X-rays, I feel like that guy, Jaws (wasn't it?) from that James Bond flick.

You know what? X-rays don't show decay under a filling.

I've had one tooth removed - got a bridge, so it feels natural. Couple of crowns. One root canal. One wisdom tooth broke off, dentist was too lazy to put a crown on it so he just slapped some cement in there. (Kidding - I agree with him on hassle v convenience - it worked.)

I just want to keep the ones I've got for, oh, another fifty years or so, or until they figure out how to re-grow teeth, whichever comes first.

So, off to bed, so I can get up bright 'n' early, get my
mostly-painless repairs done before lunch, and thank God I live in America in the 21st Century.

Trump keeps drawing me in, making me think: hey, maybe he's not just someone to vote "against Hillary," but because he might actually be good.... and then... he....

My newsfeeds were full of headlines today about Trump having his own "police acted stupidly" moment about the Tulsa thing. He chimed in with multiple stupid comments, from what I read. Even accounting for press distortion, it looks like Trump judged the cops ill-considered'ly.

It may not be a perfect case, but the guy was ignoring cop orders and acting suspiciously, and the cops deserve the benefit of the doubt until all the fog clears.

Would not like a guy who disses the cops so recklessly to be the CiC second-guessing the validity of the actions of every soldier whose boots are on the ground.

But, whatcha gonna do? #NeverHillary, after all.

Hate to think about the woman cop who shot him. In normal times, this is just police work. In these Obamanation days, she'll see endless crap.

Video clearly shows him disobeying police, walking to his car, reaching in the window... that's suicidal.

He also had PCP in his car. That might be a clue to his behavior.

But "best" of all is Hillary's "police acted stupidly" interjection of herself into the case.

Hillary Clinton spoke out Tuesday against the shooting of an unarmed black man by a police officer last week in Tulsa, Oklahoma, calling on America to "tackle systemic racism."

I was just thinking, earlier today, not for the firs time, that there are some songs which could be said to have stood up pretty well, except they employed the anachronism "groovy."

You can't sing "Spooky" about "go with me to see a movie" without "everything is feeling kinda groovy.

And of course, a big one, Paul Simon's 29th Street Bridge Song, and its "dah-dah-dah dah-dah dah-dah feelin' groovy - this from the only lyricist to ever work the word "gaberdeen" into a song.

But, The Smithereens - Groovy Tuesday? Yikes! The whole thing is groovadelically anachronistic.

I noted several days ago about how, in what you do, it's sometimes difficult to get good interactions between characters. On this one, what's great is, both characters are posed in the same going-up-stairs, looking-back-in-horror poses. You must have an encyclopedic knowledge of cover art to be able to pull things like this together. Nice work.

...considered rude not to offer guests a bath and clean clothes as soon as they arrived for a visit.

Maybe if an arriving guest arrived noticably befilthed, but otherwise a guest might think of it as insulting! Still, I'll take that one under advisement.
