Thinking about the targeting of the Tea Party & conservative, etc., groups, reminds me of another administration that thought the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy should be targeted. Stroll with me, friends, down faulty memory lane...

Seems t'me I read somewhere recently -- surely on some tinfoil hat site -- that during that administration, there was a fast-and-furious-like operation with similar objectives of helping push their nefarious disarming & targeting agendas. That operation succeeded in the perfect narrative-pusher when a Right Winger Patriot Nut bombed a Federal building in OKC. More-or-less in charge of that operation was a fellow named Holder.

Might be interesting to revisit those days, now, whatever the truth.

MPPPP: That story was presented, IIRC with no truthiness disclaimer, in the booklet that came with the ... 50th? ... anniversary edition (what were those things? oh yeah) videotape. Always seemed t'me that your city or county should collect taxes ... preferably sales taxes leavened evenly on DVDs, wine, or gasoline ... the county passes a portion to the state, the state to the nation. I'm sure an equitable arrangement could be made to still provide the Congress a place to meet and the Chief Exec with temporary housing; no vacays, though.

(But I'm the same dreamer who always wondered why the USA didn't have 50 seats at the UN, all of them on the Sec Council.)

Last night's ONT - and others - when folks talk about, or talk to, or quote back from trolls, and Da Banhammer done been wielded, it's like seeing the shadows of human forms left after the nuke flash.

When folks use comment numbers and the comments are gone, it's like that townhouse in Harry Potter where smugglers can only see the houses on either side.

Sometimes the effort of typing a comment, especially on a cell, far outweighs any tiny value the comment might have had. [This/i] is one such comment!
