"Firefox, in the land of IE and Chrome, it's the Mark Sanford of browsers. It may be pond scum, but at least it's not a Democrat."

I'm a Constitutionalist libertarian. So ronery and unpopular.

"As for the spic comments I am not sure if that is considered racist or not since Hispanic is not a race."

You don't call the Irish "Micks," and you don't call the Mexicans "Spics," and you don't call the Dagos "Wops."

(Friend of Mrs got sent to the office for correcting the nun on the last one.)

"Alabama Senate gave final approval to the homebrew bill, which the governor is generally expected to sign. Alabama is the last state in the nation where homebrewing is illegal."

Yay! we can plant our seeds without fear of Da Man nationwide, all these decades after Repeal! Liberty!

Oh, home BREW.

Never mind.

chem sets? yeah!

My brother and I especially enjoyed sprinkling powdered uh what was it graphite? lead? iron! iron shavings sprinkled on the alcohol lamp. Sparkley!

So I might've been eight or ten. My brother has the little metal spoon, and he sprinkles some over the flame POOF! and does this a few times, then, apparently, the spoon got hot... and he sticks the spoon in the little jar of shavings....

He was sitting at the desk. I was sitting behind him on my bed. Fifty years later, I can still close my eyes and see him, silhouetted blackly against the incredibly bright white flash! Fortunately, the explosion was not contained, so it was all light and little damage, but, POW!

I don't think we ever got any more.

What was presented to the jury was DNA evidence that proved his guilt beyond a shadow of a doubt to all except the twelve dumbest people on the face of the planet. Thirteen if you're included. -Regular Moron

Why thanks, moron, for your precise debate point and ripe odor. All I know, all I'm talking about, is what I saw go on in court, and it was a prosecutorial fail. On almost every point. Defense was almost an irrelevant sideshow to the three-ring circus of media b.s., judicial stupidity, and prosecutorial self-immolation.

Vic, if I am "guilty as hell and everyone in the country knew it," and you're on my jury, can you be trusted to judge based on what's presented in court? If not, stay off juries. Also my lawn.

@ Nevergiveup - here we go, as always. For background, I watched the whole prosecution case. Did you? (This thread is dead officially now, right?)

A) bullshit - by which concise, erudite argument you refer to which aspect..?
B) there was blood evidence all over the place, and they chose to ignore it ... Blood evidence where of what? The shady cop with a mad on for OJ, who shouldn't even have been there found the bloody glove at the scene and oh my also finds its mate at OJ's? That's case-killing BS right there. Nothing was presented effectively in court.
C) he had no alibi and plenty of motive - alibi and motive are irrelevant if the State fails to hang the evidence on you. Many prosecutors and cops are so sure someone's guilty, but the law requires more than hunches and feelings.
D) guilty as sin - possibly. Probably. Doesn't change that the prosecution failed = jury did the just thing. Humanly just does not always equal true justice, obviously.

It was a travesty, regardless of his guilt or the outcome.

Except if the answer from my masses is, "No."

FDR only got 4. Watch me, baby!

"Finally, a man behind them tapped Hayes' husband on the shoulder. 'If you two don't shut the hell up, I'll have you thrown out. Now pipe down!'"

Ah, the good old days. Now, that man would be the one thrown out.

"another OJ nullification verdict."

OJ was found not guilty.

And I gotta say again, having watched the prosecution part of the OJ trial, I thought the jury did the right thing. Prosecution was a monumental clusterfluke. Didn't bother to watch defense.

With Gosnell, it could well be the laws themselves confuse the jurors... that which might once clearly be considered criminal is now all gray with details for low-quality thinkers. How else could we have an age where there is ANY QUESTION about aborting babies after the first trimester, much less on the eve of birth, much less a President shui is cool with infanticide!

When the antique Nokia was dying, I drooled after the S3, but ended up with this refurbished iClone. Glad I didn't get the S3 because now I'd want the S4!

Let's pretend Gave didn't step on this post. Boycott!

Heh... got jumped & both eyes blackened when I got no ride home from a concert in Little Rock - just some of my deeply tanned neighbors having a spot of fun. I lived.

Had a gun stuck in my back between the El & our apartment in Chicago, but I was too drunk to stop for my neighbor's request to do business down the alley, so Mrs & I just kept walking.

But all kinds of places can be scary. The old security guard at the country club who thought my friend & I were crooks had a frighteningly shakey gun hand. So did the young cop in South Tulsa who thought our car matched somebody's.

But I've also been in some dangerous places.

The other night .. or morning .. there was a bit of comment back-n-forth about the problems of automated automobiles. Can someone point me to the thread? -me

err, you mean other than the usual old fart crabbing about "automatics these days", etc? -weft cut-loop

yeah, not that one about standard trans; the one about robot, self-driving cars. Searched on many terms and scanned several threads. Sure are a lotto words on AoS!

"...doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.... i hate this saying...."

There's quite a few folks, I imagine, who wish it weren't true so they could do the same d@mn thing the s@me d@mn way yet magically get the desired result on the nth try. Drifters, dreamers, and democrabs.
