cth: if a poo “accident” is a “messy choice”, I wonder what they call an unwanted pregnancy.

Well, first, let's hope there aren't any pregnancies among the daycare's babies and toddlers. (!!!)

But to address your question, I think they would consider a pregnancy to be a baby - if the unborn child was pre-paid and pre-enrolled in Los Feliz by reputable celebrity parents. (Otherwise, ummm…)

Next-year class looking forward to little Genderlesslie (-4 months).

Egorr: …The telephone had NO dial… you had to pick up the handset and ask for the Operator to connect you!…

When I was a wee tad, I would pick up the receiver on our dial-less deskset, wait for the operator to say, "Num-ber plee-ease?" I'd speak clearly (as we were taught in those AT&T phone etiquette films) my friend's number, which was easy for me because it was "two, four, six." She'd say thank you and connect me to Tommy's house.

So, I always tell the young'n's, we had voice-activated dialing 'way back then. Everything since has been a step back. :D

While I'm rambling phone-tically, I figure the biggest improvement in phone technology over the decades has been (drumroll) replacing the dial with buttons. Why? Well, that circular impression on your index finger if you dialed a lot of calls, for one thing. But mostly…

There's an emergency (it's1950s), who do you call? Dial "Operator." And as seconds count, you dial whirr -- all the way around the dial, wait for it to clickety-click back. Or, later, it's now 911 - so you dial the 9, almost as long to dial as the "O" -- why couldn't they just make 0 the first dial position, or later make emergency = 111? Well, moot now. All buttons are created equal.

There's also a video where the photography was un-tricked so you can better understand how it was done. Takes a little of the cinema magic out of it, but also shows off Astaire's agility.

Started my online day with a peek at Bluebird’s, and I’m glad I did!

There ought to be some kind of special Super D’aawww award, just for this collection. Oh, the piles of little kittens! And hugging cats, so cute!

We haven’t had a kitten around in years, and our three old cats don’t hug each other, so we don’t see a lot of that. With the wintry days, they have spent a lot of time sleeping, though.

“Happy 8th anniversary”

Just think-- eight years ago, we were only as far into the Obama years as we now are into the Trump era. (Re-reads sentence - did that come out right? Close enough.) That's quite a chunk of history.

Gladd I stumbled across this garden.

Milady and I enjoyed watching this. A song that just doesn't seem to get old, and a great selection of dance numbers.

Which included bits of Fred in the rotating room dance, so we had to go find that clip to watch the whole thing. Have you ever used it for a Friday dance, BoB?

"Pachydermatologist" - this is the kind of thing that I will wake up chuckling about weeks from now.

The elephant just needs some wrinkle remover - better get the Jumbo size.

Tuesday Prude: …Will you lose all respect for me if I confess I hadn’t heard of a chiasmus?…

I must admit, it was new to me, too. Yet obvious by context.

Today, I can watch this and smile at the talent involved. At the time, I might've appreciated some of the gals (knowing, humble boy that I was, that Annette was too old and out of my league), but on the whole I was impatiently waiting for the next installment of the Hardy Boys, or "Meeska Mooska Mousketeer, Mouse Cartoon Time now is here!"

Those adult men still creep me out, though.

Many grins & chuckles here. Great new ones, some classics.

Should be noted that the "Unions our my cup of tea" protesters are teachers! Of coarse.

Speed bumps when children are playing is hilarious. That's what you get when you have slow children, of quarts.

Apparently I "liked" my own comment. Funny system: Liking something a second time = not Liked.

But then, why shouldn't we all like our own comments? If we didn't like 'em, we shouldn't post 'em! Yeah, makes sense. (Thumbs up self.)

Mia Farrow… Miaaa Farroooow…

Didn't she get shot up real good along with that fellah from the Dobie Gillis show, in that wretched movie… oh, now, wait - that was Faye Dunaway.

Oh, yeah. now I remember. Briefly Mrs. Frank Sinatra.

We all should care about what she tweets because… ummm…

:D

This cartoon has a real old-timey political flavor - crowded with images, lots of labels on everything, Can modern kids decipher such a complicated illustrated editorial statement? :?

Building permits up, 161 pounds of fentanyl, 90% of illegals arrested had priors. I hear that song from Sesame Street: ♫ One of these things is not like the others.♬

That cartoon is a great depiction of the crazy investigations.

I've seen many objections to the whole Mueller investigation, how it should be ended, Trump should have fired him, that kind of thing. Yet look! All Trump has done is mostly ignore it, and the longer it's gone on, the more it's blown up in the faces of Trump's opposition like a trick cigar.

It's taken me days to get to a reply on this, but I've thought of it every day since you posted it.

What you went through is unjust, I deem. I know I got a few undeserved whoopin's, but I understood what they thought I had done, even if I hadn't. Like all justice, Parental Justice is best when swift and sure, but the sure part requires knowing where the boundaries are.

I'm glad our Bluebird emerged from your trials.

My family had a, um, live-in nursemaid or something for a while, after my little sister was born, and as a fine upstanding Christian woman she would never say a bad word.

She did, however, frequently employ the variant "Oh, shoot a blue bean!"

GRAB THE SOAP!
